Show Page Six THE it SUN-ADVOCA- Thursday, April 18, 1957 Spring Canyon News Highlights Reported The Trailbuilder Blazer class of the Primary, under the direction of Leader Eleanor English, entertained their mothers Monday evening. The boys, Randy Imai, Doryl Jensen find Sammy Ceal, participated by conducting singing, reciting the Articles of Faith and explaining the trails of spirituality, knowledge, service, and health. Each boy also entertained the group with a game. Refreshments were served at the close of the party. Larry Curtis had the misfortune of tipping his car over between Spring Canyon and Helper when her was driving to school Friday morning. The car was badly wrecked but neither Larry or Kenneth Farmimond, a passenger in the car, were hurt seriously. Mr. and Mrs. Delon Atwood and their small son and daughter of visited here with Wellington friends last Wednesday. Sunday guests at the Arthur Erickson home were Arts parents, Mr. and Mrs. Whitey Erickson of Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Jewkes spent a day last week in Orangeville where they visited with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jewkes. Bob Wells traveled from Wyoming during the week end and joined his wife here at the Harold Lambert home. They attended a wedding reception for Bobs sister in Wellington Friday, then return to their home in Wyoming. A Relief Society quilting was held at the church again this week. During the afternoon the work meeting lesson on beverages was given by Pearl Anderson. Refreshments were served by La Preal Richards and Emily Lambert. Mr. and Mrs. Udell Keele and their daughter, Mrs. Bobby Peacock, and baby son, Lynn, all of Price, spent Wednesday in Spring Canyon visiting with friends. Mrs. Louis Bezyack, Mrs. Bobby Biondich and Mrs. Betty Hight of Helper spent a day last week here at the home of Mrs. Patsy Jewkes. Kevin Jewkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jewkes, was honored on his 3rd birthday anniversary by a group of small friends who attended a party at his home Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jewkes and children spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Watson in Castle Gate. Royal Jewkes spent a day last week on the desert with the National Guard. Donald Finley of Salt Lake City was a Spring Canyon visitor during the past week. Word ,has been received from Mr. and Mrs. James Catterall, former local residents and now living in Ranchester, Wyoming, that they are sailing for England this month. They plan to be gone about three months. This will be their' first visit back to their old home since after coming to America shortly the first World War. -Salt Lake City visitors over the wek end were Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Bearnson and son, Kent, Mr. and Mrs. William English and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Baldwin, Mrs. George Reaveley and Mrs. Verge Olsen.
