Clem Schramm, state di- - n Price Banks Cited for Bond Sale Cooperation The U. S. treasury this week recognized "the patriotic service to community and nation through U. S. savings bonds by the bankers of Price through a presentation of citations by Steve Diamanti, Carbon county savings bonds chairman, and Clem S. Schramm, state director of savings bonds committees. A. W. McKinnon, president of the Carbon Emery bank and Ray Walters, president of the First National bank, accepted the citations on behalf of their respective? institutions. The colorful Minute Man a- - wards, authorized by Secretary of the Treasury George M. Humphrey, are being presented to bankers throughout the state for their efforts which helped place Utah fourth in the nation in percent of increase in sales in 1956 over 1955. Each citation was accompanied by a letter from Frederick P. Champ, prominent Logan banker and state chairman of the Utah savings bonds committee, thanking the banker for his support. In making the presentation, Mr. Diamanti expressed the apperda- tion of the Treasury Department for the public service rendered, not only in promoting the purchase of savings bonds, but the maintenance of staff personnel to issue bonds and service the program at no ex- to the government or the in- - or his evening adult ex tension classes. Ther will be some ceremics shown also At the beginning of each show Mr. Olsen will give an illustrated lecture on the paintings of the old masters which in the past has proved to be one of the most interesting parts of the exhibit. The Carbon Art" League has set up a new studio in one of the buildings at the old airport. In this studio group of interested artists meets every Thursday evening to paint. All people interested in art are invited to these sessions. Main Price Three DeMolay Units Visit Local Chapter DeMolays from three chapters in Utah made a visitation to the Castle Valley chapter, Price, April 13. Represented among the visit- ors were the Salt Lake Chapter, Ogden chapter and Provo chapter. A luncheon and dinner was served by the DeMolay Mothers circle to over 100 youths for each meal. In the basketball tournament staged as part of the visitation the Castle Valley chapter defeated Salt Lake and Ogden defeated Provo.
