Show THE Page Four SOPHOMORE BREAKFAST BIDS FAREWELL TO CLASS for exercises Commencement the graduating classes of Carbon high and Carbon College was preceded by a breakfast in the college cafeteria for the sophomore class. It was the last official gathering of the group and was attended by the largest crowd to ever be at such a function. The program, arranged by Mary Helen Bunnell, began with community singing and a welcome by Nedd McArthur, class president. Clarion Huff and Lena Mabbutt were masters of ceremonies. Grace was said by Mrs. Bess Jones and remarks were given by Dr. Henry Pace and Wesley Larsen, class adviser. The program pointed out the most memorable moments of the sophomore year. Shirley Faz-zihomecoming queen, sang a solo and Lynn Mills read the parTwas the Night before ody Election" composed by Miss Bunnell. An excerpt from the assembly was sung by Bruce Lambson and Shirlene Gardner and the singing of the school song brought the program to a close. Lynn Mills arranged the table decorations which consisted of lavender crepe paper and lilacs, Elaine Brasher was in charge of ticket sales and Mrs. Georgia Halford was general chairman for the affair. o, BRIDGE CLUB MEETS Occasionally routine has to be changed to suit the convenience of busy people. FORMER COLUMBIA BOY WEDS IN CALIFORNIA Louis Joseph Coccimilgio, formerly of Columbia, was married to Joan Arlene Filomeo at a formal afternoon ceremony in St. Catherines Catholic church, Martinez, California, with Monsignor William Burke officiating before some 400 guests from many California cities. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edward Filomeo of Estudillo street, Martinez. She is a 1953 graduate of Alhambra high school. Mr. Coccomilgio, having attended school in Columbia and at Carbon high, was graduated from Alhambra high with the class of 1949 and attended St. Marys College. He is president of the Alhambra Alumni Association and starred on that schools football team. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Coccimilgio of Laguna street, Martinez.
