The youngsters mother got on the telephone to try to locate the bike, without success. She was about to give it up for lost, when one final call to the man in charge of the field brought the good news. By luck he had found the bike and was waiting for the owner to claim it. Linda Nielsen is also home from the hospital where she, underwent a tonsillectomy Saturday. Funeral service was held in the LDS chapel Wednesday, May 18, for Nellie J. Thompson, who died at her home Sunday morning at the age of 82. The service was conducted by Bishop Darrel Ross. The speakers were Arvil Stevens of the Carbon stake presidency, Richard Peterson of Ferron and Frank Hatt. A ladies trio from Ferron sang, Going Home. Una Gillies sang In My Fathers House There Are Many Mansions. Other music was by members of the Green River Singing Mothers. Burial was in Ferron. Mrs. Guy Robinson and daughter, Sharon, have just returned from a trip to Henrieville where they visited relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross, Clark and Dorothy Ann are in Big Springs, Texas, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ross and Jerrie Lin. Six weeks kindergarten course opened for six year olds Monday, May 16, with students enrolled. Mrs. Cox of Castle Dale is teaching this course. The RiverVu Drive-I-n theatre opened May 19th and a capacity crowd enjoyed the free showings of The African Queen.
