QrtnhPr fi-I- he r ioq Seniors invited to enter Utah Jr. Miss contest Sunshine Cloggers will give away quilts - doll Tickets The Utah Junior Miss Scholar- are now available The Sunshine Cloggers and Dance Company is raffling off a porcelain doll and two TV quilts as a fund raising project. The doll was made and donated by Janet Morger, of Redmond. The quilts are tied flannel and fake fur. Both quilts and doll will be drawn for on Friday, December 10th. Tickets are 6 for $5.00 or $1 each. You may contact the Booster Club for tickets. Leslee Nelson, ship program is seeking high school seniors to enter the 1994 competitions. Utahs program is a scholarship and honors program that recognizes, rewards and encourages excellence while promoting selfesteem among young women. Utahs Junior Miss will be selected in March of 1994 and as part of her prizes she will win a scholarship, and an all expense paid trip to Mobile, Alabama to compete for the national title. North Sevier High School Sports Action Jason Sperry Football - The North Sevier Wolves took on the Millard Eagles in last weeks action. Rhett Hallows ran for a touchdown, while Tweeb Gladwell ran for two; resulting in 18 points. However, this was not enough to overcome the 36 points accumulated by the Eagles. Final score. Eagles 36 -- Wolves 18. This week the Wolves will take on Kanab, Friday, October 8. Next week will be Homecoming - and the Wolves will host the South Sevier team. Volleyball - The North Sevier Wolf Women traveled to Manti last Tuesday to take on the number three ranked Manti Templars. The Wolf Women showed their power by easily defeating Manti 51-- 4 and 15-The Richfield Tourney will be held October 9. Outreach program sets classes at SVATC The Southern Utah University (SUU) Outreach degree program in Richfield will offer bachelor degrees in Sociology .Psychology, and Business Administration. The secondary Education program will also be expanded in this area. A preliminary meeting was held September 1 5 to assess area student interest in these programs. Rowley was awarded an engraved old fashioned school bell from the District Board of Education, the traditional memento for years of service. Ivan Rowley, former principal of Richfield High, retires this week after 34 years in education. Bom in Caliente, NV and raised in Milford, Utah, Rowley attended Milford High and came back to his alma mater as a basketball coach and math teacher after graduating from Utah State University in 1959. He also coached baseball and football, andattended BYUduring summers to earn a masters degree and administrative certification. High school football star dies of injuries A high school football player died of head injuries last week, six days after collapsing during a game. Senior linebacker Chuck Schofield, 17, died after his family decided to disconnect life supports, according to coach Kenny Wright, of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
