She said she moved away when she was about 3, and really doesnt remember the town, but that people here might remem- ber her grandfather Glendal Lorensen. The face of Gunnison has changed a lot in the 3 years Ive been here. Take Main Street for an example. The telephone company expanded, the hair salon went into the spot where Valley Furniture was, and Valley Furniture and the China Gate are in new locations, and Louises Place and the Tile Shop have opened their doors. I imagine that 15 years ago, when young Kristen moved away, things must have been really different. What do you remember? Report from the DWR ITS NOT TOO LATE to buy an elk or deer tag. Purchase deadlines have been removed this year for general season rifle and muzzleloader deer tags. There will also be no deadline for purchase of elk general season bull permits. Hunters purchasing a tag during a hunt may not hunt the same day of the purchase. They must wait a day to use the deer tag or elk permit. Big game or combination licenses may be purchased year round.
