Marlis Freeman is in Germany visiting, following the passing of her mother. Laurence Mason had his whole family come for a visit Sounds Familiar doesn't it? Patrick Usher, of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce recently described the Canadian economic system as not making much sense Somehow it seems familiar He said suppose you own two cows, you would be a socialist and give one to your neighbor and keep one for yourself If could be facism where you lose both cows and have to buy some milk. You may be a communist where the government takes both cows and give you a little milk Or capitalism where you sell one cow and buy a bull Or stick with the Canadian economic management system, where the government buys both cows at inflated prices, shoots one, milks the other, throws away the milk and pays you not to raise feed for the aead one! Now if that system sounds familiar and you dont live in Canada perhaps a bit of creative thinking is in order. If you operate under this system you probably also believe in buying a bigger truck to solve the problem of losing money while using a small truck to haul gram to a distant market offering unprofitable prices! Instead of reducing your losses you actually double the red mk. Suzanne Shaws mother has been visiting. The Farm Team Tournament was held last week Over $500 worth of prizes were donated by local Merchants. Local church and civic ders were the judges. The first game the Stealers won over the Dodgers, 13 to 14. The second game was a tie with both the Stelers and r s at 17. Sinclair fhe Helmstetlers have had the J.B. The Sinclair Family Singers, will be guest speakers at the Aurora 1st Ward Sacrament Meeting Sunday, July 15, at 1 p.m. Family Saturday, July 14, at 7 p.m. Salma Stake will present in Concert, the Sinclair Family Singers. This delightful family of 12 puts on d a musical program that is fun, funny and thoroughly enjoyed and remembed by all ages. Tbe ten children consist of five daughters, four sons, and one daughter, in that order. Everyone is invited to attend the concert. There is no charge. fast-pace- 1 S We can make fun of the economic Canadian economic system, but unless we get our own shop in order by reducing government spending and develop a farm program that does not encourage our competitors to increase production while we plow our fields under, then perhaps the Canadians will have the last laugh. !.
