Said Zoning Ordinance is contained in a book entitled Zoning Ordinances, Salina, Utah. Said book is available for public inspection at the office of the City Recorder during normal business hours. Born September 18, 1902, in Aurora, Utah to Enos and Martha Murphy Curtis. He married Melva Froyd July 28, 1925 in Richfield. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a retired railroader. Survivors include his wife, Salina; two sons, one daughter, Blair D., Salina; Dr. DeMar, Temple, AZ; Mrs. Lowell (Carol Lee) Allred, Murray; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Lera Crane, Salina; Marvin Curtis, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Bemell Alverson, Hespress, CO. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, in the SalinaState Center. Burial was in the Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Mortuaries. Springer-Turne- r 7, 1984 Tax credit for energy efficiency The Utah Energy Office has reviewed and certified over 600 residential applications for 1983 state tax credits on renewable energy systems. Avedrage residential tax credit value was $597. The Energy Systems Tax Credit grants a 10 percent state income tax credit of up to $1,000 for residences and $3,000 for commercial applications for passive and active solar, wind, and hydro energy system investments. Additionally the federal government grants a 40 percent income tax credit for renewable energy system investments. to Kevin Gillars, According UEO engineer, most applications have been for domestic solar hot water heating systems, the majority of which are active solar water heating systems. More than 100 active solar water heating systems were constructed through a program operated by Utah State University Extension Office in cooperation with the Utah Energy Office. Tax credit applications were processed for four wind energy systems . and one photovoltaic system. Commercial changeovers were virtually nonexistant. Many businesses are reluctant to make that kind of investment until the economic climate improves, said Gillars.
