It is camp meeting. Spirit-fille- d believers, friends and visitors gather from great distances to take part in a time of spiritual refreshing and Christian fellowship. We plan on and look forward to these services all year. Services are held for Utah state camp meeting under the big tent on the grounds of the Valley Assembly of God, 3818 West 4700 South, Salt Lake City. There are morning Bible classes and evening services. We dont stop short on music and speakers. We engage the very best. The Singing Deweys will be back with us again this year. Camp speaker is Rev. Kenneth Claycomb, internationally known evangelist and Bible teacher. Evening services start at 7:30 p.m. every night, June Bible class will be held these days at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Arthur Parson, Ohio district superintendent. For further information on camp facilities Concession stand call open nightly after services. We will be taking cars down and if you are interested in going and need a ride, please call Rev. Treloggen, Friends and visitors are always welcome. You wont be disappointed, its really great. Our own regular services are Sunday school, 10 a.m., Sunday Worshiop 11 a.m. Sunday evening, 7 p.m. Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. Bible study, knowing the doctrines of the Bible, meetings are held at 435 East Seventh South Wednesday. Bible study is given by Rev. Dan Mitchell. We care not about number of prestige. We care about souls. Our concern is that people come g to a knowledge of Jesus Christ. God bless you. Rev. Scriptures are distributed by Gideon nationals in some 40 languages in the other countries. These countries represent a mission field for the churchs through prayer and support of the Gideon ministry. Without the splendid cooperation of pas- tors and congregations, the ministry of the Gideons would not be possible. Thursday, June 30, a special worship service will be held at 7:30 p.m., including the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Congratulations to Bruce Broman, who received the Eagle Scout award at the court of honor, Troop 322, Monday evening, June 13. An invitation is extended to all in the community to join us for worship each Sunday morning, and also for the special service June 30. Following the worship services a coffee hour is held downstairs where Christian fellowship is extended to all. pre-holid- by Mrs. Max Nelson New lights are installed and ready for use at the city park. But with their use comes a warning that anyone who is reported misusing them or who in anyway does vandalism to them will be issued a $100 fine. They will also be required to pay damages for any destruction they cause. An example of the cost: each new light bulb costs $250. At city council meeting held June 8, Councilman J.J. Christensen stated that he had met with men from the Box Elder county road department that day and they would begin rebuilding and resurfacing 1200 West between 2700 South and 2950 South in about two weeks. This will call for tearing up the old tar and building a new road bed and then resurfacing it. It was stated that the fill will be taken from the Perry gravel pit. Also discussed was the graveling of the junk yard lane. The council again expressed concern for the misuse of the city dump. It was recently 723-842- soul-savin- Christian Reormed Rev. The theme of the pastors' sermon will be Called To Serve. Morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Our evening service is held at 6 p.m. with our studies at present from the Old Testament book of Joshua. Vacation Bible school will be held at our church from July 6 to July 15. There will be two schools this year, with the Junior High group (including sixth graders) meeting at 7 p.m. The afternoon Bible school, beginning at 1:30, will be for children who are age four and through fifth grade. Marriage is the theme of the Back to God Hour messages at present. Listen in on KBUH Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Holy Cross Lutheran East Second South. Pastor Steve Ingram will be conducting services Sunday 705 June 19 at 9 a.m. Mrs. Roy Hooper is organist. The speaker will be Richard Riggs from Weiser, Idaho, a Gideon representative. The Gideons serve as a extended arm of the Christian church, carrying out a broad ministry of scripture distribution. As business and professional men, they work with the church in reaching the unreached mil- - United Presbyterian Sunday morning worship for the summer months is at 9:30 and we warmly invite all our friends to be with us this Sunday. Worship will be downstairs in Gillespie hall and Eldon Coffman will give a presentation with the use of slides. Betty Bassett is in charge of worship. Also on hand Sunday morning will be a memberof the Gideons who will give a presentation on the work of his organization. Rev. Lawson is on vacation until July 10. Ed or Rev. or Boer, or Steve Ingram, The Women's association is having a medical offering coffee on Monday, June 20 at 10 a.m. at the home of Betty Bassett, 320 South Second East. The offering will go to Tom Hannum Jr., who is on a medical mission to Nicaragua. All women of the church are invited to attend. Many people are under the mistaken impression that call our everyone is the child of God. The Bible declares differently. John 1:12 tells us we must become the child of God by trusting in Jesus Christ. Only then can Father. we God from Gideons International, Ralph Benson, will be speaking in the 11 morning worship service. He will be telling of the work of distributing Bibles through out the world. A ladies trio will sing for our special music and we will be honoring all of our fathers with a special gift. Pardon of 235 North Ninth East, Brigham City, has received a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. She graduated during ceremonies June 11 at the Baylor College of Dentistry.
