A supper and social was held at the Doyle Holdaway home that evening for 32 family members. Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Madsen announce the arrival of their a girl, third great-grandchil- who was born to Richard and Jackie Trainor in Daley City, Calif. Mrs. Trainor was formerly Jackie Waters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larin Petersen of Ogden. The child was born May 29. There is a correction on the dates for the upcoming Deweyville Ward Centennial. It will be held on Aug. 20 and 21. Bookmobile stops in front of the Arlin Madsen home instead of the post office, as listed on the summer schedule. It is at the town park from 9 until 10 a.m. The third stop is at the Melbourne Grow home later that morning. Next Tuesday, June 21, is Bookmobile day. Mrs. Floyd Gardner entered the McKay-Dehospital earlier this week for medical tests. The John Roberts family came from Denver, Colo., at Memorial time and spent several days with Bertha and Floyd. Mrs. Janet Bowen Holt and daughter, Lisa, from Glenwood, have been visiting with Mrs. Clarence Fryer for the past week. Mrs. Holt is a daughter of , Phyllis and Ross Bowen. The Holdaway family attended the baptismal and confirmation services for the twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Holdaway in Brigham City last week. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Holdaway and family e Back Home Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Black-haare at home after spending four days in the Lake Powell area. They greatly enjoyed the days boating with their son, Dale and family. The family of Mrs. Edna Marble had a great time playing games, visiting and eating at the Deweyville park Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Albert (lone) Smith have been visiting here from Las Vegas, Nev., and they joined with Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Gardner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dewain Loveland and family from Willard, and Mrs. Loa Knudsen, her sons and families for a real good time. Congratulations this week to Miss Susan Haycock upon her graduation from Utah State university. Kurt Poulsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Gardner, also completed his studies at Utah State Technical college in Salt Lake City. OF the stake Mountain Man Retreat competition last week were these Cub Scouts from pack 112 in Bear River City. The Cubs are (from left) Casey Porritt, Graig Lucas and Scott Tolboe. Second was Harper Ward, with Corinne Second ward third. The boys will compete on a district level July 16 at Dock Flat. Merleen Herbert, May Earl, Becky Palmer and Linda Sneddon, wives of Brigham City police officers, teamed to win the four-ma- n shoot for women at the Utah Peace Officers association convention in St. George recently. In addition, Mrs. Earl was first in the ladies combat shoot iking 556 of 600 possible points. She was also second in the slowfire. Mrs. Sneddon was fourth in the combat shoot and Mrs. Herbert fifth in the free for all. The men didnt fare quite as well as their wives, but not bad either. Sgt. Charles Earl was second in the 7 and sharpshooter. Sgt. Tom Sneddon was second in the point annual treat for local kids and others, courtesy of Box Elder District Community School program, merchants and the Northern Utah Shrine club. Jay Herbert was the bull throwing (no kidding) and third in the net scores in the golf tournament.
