Do you have a child in second grade or older who has not received first Holy Communion? Do you have a child in eighth grade or older who has not received Confirmation? We are beginning the preparations for these children. We need your cooperation in this matter and so we are asking you to come to four meetings to find out what you can do to help your child be ready for the sacraments. These meetings will be held in St. Henrys parish hall on Jan. 20, Jan. 27, Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Each one of these meetings is important and we feel that you should not excuse yourself from any of them without a good reason. We want both parents to come and we invite the parents who are not Catholic to attend so they can understand the obligations of their child and also understand the meaning of the sacraments their children will be receiving. Any adult who has not received Confirmation is also required to attend these meetings. Fr. Ferguson would like to have the names of these adults as soon as possible. We feel the cooperation of the parents is so important that we are not considering any child for first Communion or Confirmation if there is no interest or cooperation on the part of the parents.
