Jim Gould with 15 and Nelson Standish with 14 paced the Eagles which are now 2 for the 70-5- year. Following the Christmas break, the Eagles will begin a tough Region Nine schedule, hosting Grantsville Jan. 2. The Eagles and Dragons played even through the first quarter before the visitors moved to a five-poimargin at the half. A strong Dragon offensive show in the third blew the game open and Malad coasted in for the win. The Eagles, displaying poor shooting from the foul line, had 10 fewer field goals than the winners and hit only 12 of 38 free throws. Again we are most appreciative of people and businesses who come to our aid, financially and physically. and Paid for Sand Ed Payne, Walt Mann and Parsons Sand & Gravel paid for four of the loads and the association did the rest. Im sure everyones spirits were higher, including the horses. The Jensen & Raymonds colt team had a runaway after leaving the winners circle. No one was hurt but a pick up truck and a chariot are a little worse for it. The Bywater & Golightly team had to rehook to another chariot after they entered the starting gates. Matter of fact, I fully expect to see those headers arms grow at least six inches during the racing season. Can you believe what it must be like to try and hold those excited animals in place til the gates are popped? You should try watching some of the races down at the gates. The horse power generated there is unbelievable. Box EDdetr Buck ftlhamiks yowl for sDnoppnmig Duck Pond Our duck pond was alive with kids! They even had a hockey game going there.
