The public is invited. Monday the Feast of St. Thomas the apostle will be celebrated in the Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday the Mass of the Nativity of our Lord will be celebrated at 9 p.m. This celebration is one of the three great festivals of the Christian year and a day of obligation. Friday, Dec. 26, is the Feast of St. Stephen deacon and martyr. The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, is the Feast of St. John apostle and evangelist. Celebration of the Holy Eucharist is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Holy Cross Lutheran The last candle on the Advent ring in the sanctuary of Holy Cross Lutheran church of Brigham City will be lit this coming Sunday, reminding the worshippers that the week of the celebration of Christmas is upon them. Special activities and worship services are planned for the observance of Christmas at Holy Cross, and all members and friends are invited to attend. The first event is the annual CMC church school program at 6:30 next Sunday evening. Special Christmas Eve worship services will be held at Holy Cross at 7:30 p.m. and will be a family candlelight service. Families with young children are most welcome for this worship time to celebrate the nativity of our Lord. The offering received that evening will be vided between the World hunger Appeal of the Luthern Church in America and the local needs of the Brigham City Community Pantry agency. All persons are welcome to attend this service, and to join in the festive celebration. i Alderagate MethodUt This Sunday morning, Dec. 21, is a special occasion for the Aldersgate congregation. Sunday evening the C.M.C. Church school will present a Christmas program at St. Michaels Episcopal Church beginning at 6:30. Children are to be there at 6:15. Parents are asked to bring a plate of goodies, Saturday evening the youth of Holy Cross will sponsor a Senior High Jesus Birthday Party" at Fellowship Hall from 7 until 10 p.m. Each youth is asked to bring a small, flat, unfrosted layer cake to the party. Christmas eve, everyone is invited to attend the Candlelight Cantata at the Presbyterian church at 11 p.m. Communion service will follow. You are also invited to attend a family service at Holy Cross at 7:30 Christmas eve. There will be a Christmas Eve Eucharist at St., Michaels at 9 p.m. We wish everyone a very joyous holiday season. Men are busy trucking cattle to the sales and getting their livestock ready for winter. And some of us are busy planning a golden wedding anniversary party. Herbert and Vera Tanner are celebrating their 50th wedding on Friday and Saturday. They were married Dec. 17, 1925 in the Salt Lake temple. A program beginning at 7 p.m. will be held at the Eleventh Ward recreation hall, in Brigham City, 506 South Second East on Friday evening. On Saturday a dance in their honor will begin at 8 p.m. in the Grouse Creek recreational hall. Though invitations were sent to just family we want everyone to know they are invited to attend either or both parties. Herb and Vera are the parents of 11 children. Shirley died in 1953 at age 13. Lelas daughters, Janeen and Eugene Wong and two sons, Becky and Lyle Peora, Peggy and Alan Hardman and daughter, were also with them. Lelas son, David is serving a mission in Japan. Eulas brother, Irvin Kimber and children, Lela Beth and Steven, came from Jordan. Mrs. Annie Kimber and Emily also enjoyed dinner with the family. Viril and Lois Kimber were unable to attend because of Lois fathers illness. Since then he passed away and we send our sympathy to Lois. Viril and their family. Stake President Grant Wyatt and Mr. Nielsen of the High Council visited meetings at Grouse Creek Sunday. They were dinner guests of Dwight and Carol Warburton and family- great grandchildren. Visit Barbara and Tom Daugherty have been spending a week here from Bakersfield, Calif., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tanner. They had to return home Wednesday for Tom to meet a special appointment. Vera Tanner visited with them at the home of relatives in Brigham City and Ogden. Visitors of Lyman and Eula Kimber during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend were members of their families. Blanthorn, Carol Warburton, Mrs. Irene Smithen, Kenna Mrs. Irene Smithen has also Bishop Lyman and Eula Kimber were in Heyburn this week visiting Charlie Ballingham in the hospital there. They came to help Mrs. Kimber celebrate her birthday anniversary. Mrs. Flora Gross, Wilda Kimber, David and Betty Kimber spent several days in Brigham City with little Lisa Kimber, under the doctors care suffering with the flu.
