The Eagles brought home the team trophy with the high finish. Other team members finishing high in the race were Darlene Cambridge, a sophomore; and Annie John, the only senior on the team. The meet wound up the season for the girls, who competed mainly in Idaho this past seaon, taking third in the Sun Valley invitational and competing at Great for stuffing BURLAP & Unknown Route The point of racing is to get around a known, closed course faster than anyone else. Rallying is finding your way over an unknown open route at a prescribed average speed, always below the speed limit. High speed, in fact, is penalized against, according to Dick Young, District Exploring Executive. Each car consisted of a two-ma- n team, with an Explorer as driver and a second as navigator. Each car had to follow a course outlined in printed instructions given to each naviga tor. The course covered a mile distance. NATIONS GALORE Reg. 39' HOBBIT SKI is nothing like rac- ing, according to officials. Winning team was Todd Young and Mike Bassett. Second place was captured by Scott Garrett and Victor Jensen. Craig Rawlins and Daryl Thompson were third. The rally, according to committee member Norm Thompson, is a game of mental, as well as driving ability. The young men participating were judged on driving an unknown route in a predetermined time.
