The event was directed by Glen Casperson, recreation chief, and included drag racing, slalom and freestyle competition. Winners were named in three age groups. The Eagles are displaying a trait that would have any coach beaming from ear to ear team spirit. The event proved popular and attracted dozens of spectators and competitors. News-Journa- Two From Intermountain Two Intermountain school athletes were selected the first the team Region Nine squad of teh Deseret News. Lennis Bulltail and Terrance CoversUp, two athletes who could have played for about any Region One team this year, were named in that selection. CoversUp also received honorable mention in the Standard-Ex- 13-ye- ar -- aminer. Brad Cutler, record breaking quarterback for Bear River, was named to the second team of Region One by the Deseret . . 1 1 Wade Hall named to team Team Effort It was a team effort, a good team effort. These kids are plays unselfish ball. Look at this statistic. We had 23 assists against Wendover. That shows you the kids are going to the open man, Rohmer said Monday. All 12 Eagle varsity members scored in the contest and that depth probably hurt the numbers thin Wendover crew as much as anything. Guard Terrance CoversUp led all scorers with 18 points in nine fielders. Reserve Nelson Standish, in only two quarters, had 17 and Paul Begay turned in his usual steady performance with 11.
