Heres a rundown of games reported: Brigham 70C No. 2 Tromps on No. 1 Brigham City C team No. 2 won their third victory against one loss Saturday with a 33-romp over Brigham No. 1. No. 2 had a very balanced attack with Willie Curtis rushing for 80 yards and scoring one TC. Steve Olsen, quarterbacking the last few minutes of the game, rushed for 88 yards while scoring two TDs on runs of 32 and 33 yards. Regular QB Steve Jeppsen had three carries for 80 yards, and the two TDs on runs of 42 and 38 yards. Brigham No. 2s defense held No. 1 for a total offense of 24 yards. It was a good team effort for No. 2 as all players saw action in the game. Brigham No. 2 suffered their first loss of the season last week in a close game against Ogden No. 1 by a score of No. 2 will travel to Roy this Saturday for game with Roy No. 1, while Brigham No. 1 will play at Roy against Roy No. 2. Game time for No. 2 is at 12:30, and No. 1 will play immediately after at 1 :45. 0 18-1- Brigham 70Bs Win by 38-- 0 Brigham Citys dynamic 70B team shut out a hard fighting North Ogden team 38-- impregnable Brighams defense led middle by Adams and Goldsberry piled up an impressive 254 yards due to of the effective blocking linebacker Tyler Dunn and tackle David Peterson along with hard hitting Robbie Carver, Tim Larsen, Jeff Williams, r Bobby Newman, Tyler and Kort Lyons aided by Michael Begay, Shane Bradford and Tony Taylor crushed the North Ogden offense. Safeties Russell Case and Lance Velasquez successfully picked off a North pass. Robbie Carver made the first run on touchdown on a Brighams third offensive play of the game, and Tom Olsen fought through for the extra point. Brighams second- offensive series consisted of three plays culminating in a 20 yard dash to the goal line by back Kort Lyons. The point after attempt was short. After a North Ogden punt attempt blocked and recovered by Brett Goldsberry, Robbie Carver carried for Brighams third TD. A 47 yard run by Carver and 27 yard run by Tom Olsen put Brigham in scoring position again. A pass by quarterback Brent Adams to Dome Hall resulted in another TD giving Brigham a 25 - 0 lead at half time. In the second half Robbie Carver carried 18 yards through a hole made by Brad Williams and Kent Peterson for his third touchdown of the game and Kort Lyons capped off the scoring when he romped 19 yards for his second score of the game. Tom Olsen again carried for the successful point after. Brighams backfield of Olsen, Lyons, Carver, Goldsberry and Hall led by quarterbacks linemen Brigham Richard Andrus, Mark Bailey, Kenny Cbristofferson, Shorland Juber, Jimmy Marshall, Kyle Smith and Brad Williams and the great playing of David Coates, Boyd Coddington, Brian Jibson, Bock-meye- and Kirschoff Jon Kent Peterson. Brighams excellent coaching was again evident during the entire game. Throughout all, City Brigham pretty cheerleaders enthusiastically cheered the team to victory. Tom Olsen was chosen offensive player of the week averaging 8.6 yards for his eight carries. Tough defensive tackles David Peterson and Jeff Williams and linebacker Tim Larsen rated stars as defensive players of the week. 70Bs play a tough Roy team next Saturday at Watkins at 9 a.m. Brigham City 70A No. 2 gets first loss Brigham City No. 2 suffered its first loss of the season to Ogden No 2 by a score of The Ogden eleven scored on a fourth down pass play which caught the Brigham City defenders napping midway in the second quarter. The Brigham City offense put together a fine drive in the first quarter with good runs by Todd Morrison and Danny Parkinson behind excellent blocking by John Mason, Chad Herbert, Rober Horne, Darin Wight, Shane Whitehead and Boyd Davis. However a fumble on the Logan 11 yard line stopped the drive short of the goal. The defense sparked by the play of Matt Mozingo, Bruce Simmons, Tom Evanoff, Mark Aston, Dennis Nelson, Louie Hicks, and Brian Windley effectively stoopped the Logan ground game. Mixups in the Brigham City defensive back-fiel- d allowed Logan to strike through the air and secure their victory. The 85A No. 2 team meets the Logan No. 2 team this coming Saturday at 11:30 on the Watkins park field. Brigham 85B, Logan tie 6 After being outplayed almost all afternoon, the Logan 85Bs scored on a pass play with less than three minutes remaining in the game to tie the Brigham 85Bs 6 to 6. The Logan extra point try was stopped by Troy' Dunlavy, Jeff Morgan and Lorenzo Medina. Brigham went to work hard-chargin- g quickly after receiving the opening kickoff. Allan Earl, Tim Thurston, Greg McDonald and Chad Neilson alternated at moving the ball to the Logan five-yarline behind the superb blocking of Chad Knavel, Troy Jensen, Keith Taylor, Doug Jon Erickson, Jeff Munson, Morgan, Tom Thurston and Kleigh Humphrey. Earl clinched the touchdown when he burst through the left side of Logans line to score s out. Brighams last score was set up by the defense when Tom Williams recovered a fumble on the Ogden 14 and three plays later John Cox scored from the seven on a nice run behind the blocks of Shiffler and Todd Thompson. The point after was scored by John Cox on a quick pitch play. Other offensive high lights included three pass completions by QB David Keller. Two of them went to Thompson and the other to Menlove. Good blocks by Chas. Vogt and Chris Cox helped. The Brigham defense again played well and their play was characterized by good solid tackling that more often than not dropped Ogden for losses.
