Show BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, September 25, 1975 Players of the week at area high schools Saturday, Sunday This is not a good week to be predicting the outcome of Region One football games. Bear River travels to Sky View, Box Elder is at Bonneville and Logan is at Weber. This prognosticator will predict one at the start Weber over Logan by 25. The Bears and the Bees will find things less than inviting in their respective encounters. Led by the bull like running of Wade Hall, the Bees have had their ups and downs this season with losses to Layton and Capital High. On the plus side, Ben Lomond and Logan have been victims. Don't forget sight in days Lest you elk hunters forget, the season opens Wednesday. And the Box Elder Wildlife federation is encouraging all big game hunters to come out to their annual sight in days Saturday and Sunday and again Oct. 11 and 12, to get ready for the big event. Not only that, money collected from the days helps the federation operate its projects to further the goals of fish and game conservation in Box Elder county and the state. Sight in will start at dawn each of the days and run to sundown. How good are the Bees? This wretched writer believes it depends on the defense. With a healthy Hall toting the mail, and the rest of the Bee offense performing as they can, the Lakers are in for a licking If the Cost is $1 Cost this year is $1 for the first rifle and 50 cents for each one thereafter per shooter. The federations bore sighting equipment for bringing scopes onto the target will be available for 50 cents. This can save a hunter as many as a half dozen shots in sighting in. The federation will have its phones and spotting scopes in operation to facilitate sighting in. President Jim Wadman invites all shooters to use the range. He said the range in Mantua can be used at times other than those specified for sight in and donation envelopes are available for those shooting at those times. x defense comes through. Coach Gordon Petersen has done some experimenting in an effort to put together a solid defense and with four contests in the history book, he should be coming to that combination. Never one to shy away from the underdog, this writer will stand behind the Bees against the Lakers. Make it And Bear River must rebound from a 50-- 0 post pounding by Roy to stay in the thick of a tournament spot. Indications are Logan is beginning to stir. The Grizzlies scored two against the Bees and they want a playoff spot, too. 15-1- 4. Cam Hoesel brought crowd to its . . . 3-- A . . standout performance Logan last Friday.
