Her talent number will be a vocal solo. Four final entries in the local Miss America pageant bring to 18 the number of girls entered. The pageant is part of the annual Wheat and Beet Day celebration held in Garland. The queen will be crowned Miss Wheat and Beet Days and reign over the celebration. The Scholarship pageant will be held Thursday, July 31, 7:30 p.m., at the Bear River High school auditorium and is sponsored by the Civic and Home Arts club of Garland. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Civic and Home Arts club and the girls participating in the pageant. Also, tickets will be sold at the door. Final entries are Julie Gibbs Miss Gibbs parents are Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ladell Gibbs of She is a graduate of Bear River High school. She was a member of the A Capella Choir, F.H.A. officer. Future Nurses vice president, Key Portage. club. Pep club, and Girls athletics. for her talent. Taylor Farm Service of Tremonton is her religious pageant, Witness for America's at the Hill Cumorah, Christ, near Palmyra, N.Y., July 25, 26, 29, 30, 31 sponsor. Nancy Manning Miss Manning comes from Garland, and her parents are Mr. and Mrs. David K. Manrecently ning. She has graduated from Bear River High school. While in school she was active in the A Capella Choir, Pep club, F.H.A.
