Guild officers elected, by Flo Munson The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Steed was blessed in first vice president; Mrs. Christy Richards, second vice president; Mrs. Joan Richards, secretary; Mrs. Esta Pierson, corresponding secretary. Retiring officers are Mrs. Shari Scott, Mrs. Lori Anderson, Mrs. Vickie Archibald, Mrs. Lula Scott and Mrs. Jolie Udy. A delicious luncheon was served. Plans are being made for a summer party along with the members partners to be held in July. Monthly meetings will continue in the fall. A1 Shapiro of Tacoma, Wash., is spending a week visiting his mother-in-laMrs. Lovinnie Holt. Friday evening Mrs. Holt visited Mr. and her and Mrs. Mervin Holt in Salt Lake City. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stokes of Ogden entertained at a family party at their home in honor of A1 Shapiro. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Holt of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Whitney of Ogden and Mrs. Lovinnie Holt of Fielding. son-in-la- Graduation Mrs. Voylet Grover, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover accompanied by Mrs. Maxiene Marshall of Plymouth attended graduation exercises at Weber State college in Ogden where Mrs. John (Karlene Grover) Marshall of Ogden received her R.N. degree. Kim Moss has returned home after attending USU in Logan the past year. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Scott and family were Carl Scott who is attending Trade Tech in Salt Lake City and his friend James Richin of Coalville. Enjoying a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Donetta Petersen Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jensen of Brigham City, Bishop and Mrs. Richard Petersen and family, Mrs. Donald Petersen and son Tom and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jensen and family of Fielding. Participating in a dance revue presented by Valene Teuller at the Logan High school Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings were Tina Garn, Vicki Winkler, Patti Rudd, Kristy King, Becky Hess, Dana Winkler, Doneta Abbott, Marsha Rudd, Sheri Abbott, Cami Smith, Kelly Rudd, Amy Wilcox, Wendy King and Rebecca Rudd. About 375 students participated. Most of the parents attended. Enjoying dinner with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Returns Debbie Welling arrived at the Salt Lake airport Tuesday after spending a week visiting her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Dale Welling and family in Belmont, Calif. Nicholas in Ogden Saturday afterwhich they were in Salt Lake City where Jim Richards entered the Mission Home prior to leaving a Washington-Seattl- e for Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Ace Godfrey attended funeral services for Mrs. Godfreys uncle Olaf Johanson held in the Grant Fourth ward chapel in Salt Lake City Thursday. A Tayloring Class was held at the home of Mrs. Celia Zundel Thursday. Attending were Mrs. Edna Hess of Plymouth, Mrs. Linney Bourne, Mrs. Nondis Potter of West Fielding, Mrs. Linda Capener of Riverside. Effie Potter acMrs. companied by her granddaughter Connie Anderson of Ogden have been spending a few days visiting Mrs. Potters and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Barry Roche and family in St. George. Monday Mrs. Lucille Potter accompanied by her sister Mrs. Elaine Stewart of Ogden drove to St. George to accompany Mrs. Effie Potter and Connie Anderson home. Visiting Mrs. Sara Moss Friday was her sister Mrs. Vadis Gilgen of Malad. The Blazer Scouts held their Early Bird Breakfast at the home of their class leader Mrs. Rhoda Welling Saturday. The scouts prepared the breakfast for their Moms and Following, games were played. Primary will be held on Wednesdays instead of Monday during the summer months. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wood and family of Casper, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood and son Ryan arrived the latter part of the week to be with their mother Mrs. Ray Wood following the death of their father. Funeral services for Ray Wood who died Thursday following a long illness was held in the Fielding Ward Chapel Monday with burial taking place in the Fielding cemetery. Deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs. Wood and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Zundel spent a good share of their time at the Cooley Hospital in Brigham City last week where their two sons Bruce and Kurk were hospitalized. Bruce was injured while participating in a rodeo in Oakley. Kurk underwent surgery. Both boys returned home Friday. A fire at the Wynn Zundel farm destroyed straw stacks, some hay and grain bins Thursday. the Spending meeting in the Belmont ward Sunday by his grandfather Lawrence Lloyd of Tremonton and given the name of Jordee Cleve Steed. Mrs. Alicia Allen Earl of Roy became the bride of Brent Moon of Cherry Creek in a home ceremony Derformed in Roy Saturday May 24. While they were honeymooning Chris and Travis Earl spent the week with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. G. Emerson Earl. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Kent and daugher Rebekah attended an open house held in the Clarkston Cultural Hall honoring Mrs. Udys grand-fahte- r James H. Jardine who was observing his 90th birthday anniversary. Larry Hess arrived from Van Nuys, Calif. Sunday to spend a few days visiting his mother Mrs. Melba Hess and other relatives in this area. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Wood was blessed by his father in Sacrament meeting Sunday and given the name of Jared Jeffrey Wood. A dinner party followed at the Wood home. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Coombs visited Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Coombs and family in Salt Lake City last week prior to Mrs. Vernon Coombs and daughter Cecilia leaving by plane Thursday for Munich, Germany to visit Mrs. Vernon Coombs mother Mrs. Cecilia Maurer. A family dinner party was Kirk Goodliffe . . . associate degree Local man gets degree in therapy Kirk Goodliffe graduated Saturday ,from Weber State college with an associate degree in services health which qualifies him to be a respiratory therapist. He was one of seven who graduated with high honors out of the 285 students who received associate degrees. Goodliffe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Goodliffe of Brigham City. He was a 1973 graduate from Box Elder High school. During the past year he worked nights at McKay-De- e hospital in addition to his academic studies. Goodliffe has accepted a job as a at St. Benedicts respiratory therapist. Student left off honor roll list The name of Mary Beth Allan, City, was inadvertently omitted from the list of students achieving honor roll at Utah State university winter quarter. Brigham Miss Allan is in the College of Education. In order to be included on honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time and ' maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better. scores are available ACT Box Elder High school students interested in obtaining results of their ACT tests can receive them from the counseling department at the school. The department should be contacted between 8:30 and 11 a.m. Monday through Friday to make arrangements.
