Her parents who came from Japan, previously owned and operated a grocery store in Portland; however, during World War II when Japanese were transfered inland from the coast areas, her parents settled in Perry. Jane is a graduate of Box Elder High school. She attended Weber State college in Ogden for one year. She was cheerleader both in high school and college. She is now employed at Box Elder High school as a secretary in the counseling department. Richard is employed by Safeway store at Five Points in Ogden. They have two children, Stephanie Anne, 11, and Richard (Ricky) 5. Dreams of Degree Jane still has a secret dream of returning to college to receive her degree and be on the faculty, teaching youngsters in school. I sew, make my own clothes, embroider, knit, crochet, play bridge, etc., she told me. I am fond of cake decorating. I enjoy taking classes which are made available at the community high Mrs. Richard Gomez and Ricky . . . Desserts are specialty school. I found Jane really loves outdoor sports skiing, . golfing, camping, etc. We often go to Snowbird, she said. We also enjoy going to Disneyland and New Mexico. Jane is a member of the Beta Sigma Phi an international culture organization. We were in Hawaii last year, she said, her eyes sparkling. It was sort of a belated honeymoon. Desserts are Specialty Cooking appeals to Jane, making desserts, candy and cookies are her specialities. Im always looking for bargains. I like to prepare quick, easy meals while pods, Y2 c. water, tsp. sugar, 4 water chesnuts, sliced thin, Dash accent, 1 T. soy sauce, 2 T. cornstarch, 3 T. water. Heat oil in large skillet. Add meat and cook over medium heat until lightly browned. Add onion," cook until browned. Add remaining vegetables, 2 cup water, salt and sugar. Cover; bring to boil over high heat. Stir well, replace cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes until vegetables are just tender-crisp- . Remove cover; reduce heat. Add accent and soy sauce. Make a paste of cornstarch and 3 T. water, add slowly, stirring constantly until gravy thickens. Serve with rice or over noodles. 1 will follow. Dance night for area member will be held on Friday, March 7 at 7 p m. in the Seventh LDS ward cultural hall. Music provided by the Melodious orchestra will set the scene for dancing, and a short entertainment is planned for intermission time. Light refreshments will be served. All members of the LDS Singles Special Interest groups are invited to attend, and may contact their ward representatives for further information on group activites. CHILI CON QUESO FONDUE small onion, chopped, 2 T. butter, 8 oz. can tomatoes, drained, 2 medium jalapeno peppers, finely chopped or pureed, 2 T. chili sauce, 1 T. cornstarch, lb. processed American Cheese, cubed. Saute onion in butter in Fondue pot until golden brown. Add tomatoes and peppers. Mix cornstarch in chili sauce and add to ingredients in Fondue pot. When bubbly, reduce heat. Add cheese by thirds, stirring well after each addition. (9 oz.) semi-sweCombine butter, milk, sugar and salt in saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. (Start timing when mixture starts to bubble around edge of pan.) Remove from heat.
