Peach Days also means a lot of fun to folks around here. But never before in our citys history have the two been combined to make this celebration the highlight of the year. And this year it has, with the help of the Chamber of Commerce and the up and coming Box Elder Rodeo club. They have arranged to sponsor a high school approved rodeo on September 6 and 7 at the Intermountain school rodeo arena in south Brigham. It will start at 1 p.m. each day and will include such events as bull riding, steer dogging, calf roping, saddle bronc and bareback riding, barrel racing, and a queen contest to be held prior to the rodeo. All high school rodeo members in the state will be eligible to ride, along with the students at Box Elder. The club has been working hard to get stock and publicity for the show. They will be giving away a free pair of boots at the rodeo. To get a chance for these boots, viewers may buy a $1 admission ticket from club members or they may buy them at the gate. competetion prior to Peach Days action is Bret Reeder.
