Show (f flt Senior citizens plan silver sands cruise Friday Luncheon Friday luncheon menu will be meat loaf, creamed potatoes, vegetable, bread pudding, j J coffee and punch. The luncheon is served at high noon and the cost is still 64 cents. Hot corn bread and butter are available. Following the luncheon the program presentation will be by the Keith Yeager family, Keith, Parbara, Yvonne and Daren, who will perform various numbers. This program is sponsored by the American association of retired persons with Arvol Marcroft, president of the chapter. A meeting of the officers will be held at 11 a.m. in the senior lounge. All persons planning to attend the luncheon must make reservations by 1 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the luncheon on Friday. Call 1 for reservations or transportation. Norman Petersen will call for those wishing transportation. Use this service as this is available and we have the vehicles to pick-u- p for the luncheon on Monday and Friday. Monday Luncheon and Bingo Monday luncheon is served at 12:15 p.m. following a morning of shuffleboard, oil painting class, pool play and bingo. At 7 p.m. the square dancers begin class with the Golden Spike Swingers at 8 p.m. Roy and Lucille Westley invite all persons interested in participating to come in, either for lessons or advanced dancing. Refreshments are served out of the kitty, with no admission charge. Public Western Dance Thursday night, July 18, will be a special dance with everyone wearing casual clothes, western if you have them to lend to the special occasion. Door prizes will be given on the lucky tickets. Admission is one dollar per person with refreshments served at intermission. This is a public dance for all interested dancers over forty, with singles as well as couples invited. Lega and Ellis Crowther will host the dance, introducing everyone to get acquainted. Dancing begins at 8:30 p.m. in the community center auditorium. To celebrate the July 24 pioneer days celebration. Blood Dont Pressure Clinic forget the blood at the community center. This is free of charge, a service arranged by the Bear River Health District. Laverne Lindsey is making arrangments for this service. This is for all ages. for Still collecting newspapers. The craft will be chartered completely by this group, which should number approximately 55. Details will be forthcoming in the next issue of this paper. A bus, greyhound, will transport the group to the beach. pressure clinic on July 30, For reservations call the Senior center at The yacht is a 57 foot craft and will cruise past Antelope Island and around the Great Salt Lake for two hours, arriving at the beach at 7:30 p.m. Craft Classes Lura Hadley is the craft instructor and will be teaching all summer in the crafts room. Come in and learn a new craft. Bessie Christensen is teaching how to make Christmas trees in a frame on velvet and all your old jewelry. 1 p.m. Wednesdays. Oil Painting Class Colleen Bradford and Viola Hansen, teach the oil painting class which is at 10 a.m. each Monday. Paints are available for a small fee if you dont have your own. ..lessons are free. Ceramics Ceramics is a fascinating hobby and unusual greenware is available. The class is free along with the firing, to members who make the items in class. Paints are also available. This is a service of the Senior center for all persons 55 years or older. Membership is free of charge. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. Wednesday Card Day Wednesday is card day in the lounge. Sandwiches, coffee, punch, cookies, etc. are served at noon for 35 cents per person. Hilda Forrest and Mable Christensen are the hostesses for the day. Call in to the Senior center if you wish to reserve a table for bridge, canasta, etc. July 24 the center will be closed. During the summer of 1974 the men of the 854th have been busy giving their direct support to other units in many parts of the western United States. Some have supported National Guard Units from other states at Gowan Field, Boise, Some have given their expert service to National Guard Units scattered over western and southern Utah.
