Show Willard Reports BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Utah Thursday, November 15, 1973 220 attend ward dinner by Nedel Witt and grandson, Jonathan home. For family friends. Following the dinner a variety show was enjoyed by all On Saturday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. Willard Second ward will be having their ward dinner. A barbecue beef dinner with all the trimmings will be served. The beef will be prepared by Dale Holmes and Allan Tingey. So all members plan on attending. A program will be presented after the dinner. Mrs. Mary Robinson is visiting with her daughter and family, the Keith Pecks. Mrs. Robinson makes her home at Tuesday, Nov. 13. They enjoyed Sawyer, a childrens theater production at Box Elder "Tom High school. The Dee Burger Clown entertained last week at Willard school, delighting all the students. Membership Drive The Willard School PTA wishes to remind all parents that this week is a drive for membership. Your support will help your child, the PTA and your school. Notices were sent home with each student on Monday. Donna Ball, assisted by Diana Monson is starting a nursery school next week at 2500 South Main, Willard. They plan to have classes from 9 a.m. to 2 from p.m. for 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., baby sitting services for working mothers, and a drop-i- n baby sitting service for periods from one hour to all day. For other information they invite your calls. DeRae and Chris Christensen spent three days visiting Louis and family at Driggs, Idaho. Louis Christensen practices Dentistry at Driggs. Martha Linger enjoyed a visit, with her brother Charlis Browning and wife this past week. They live at Ashton, Idaho and were in Utah to visit their son, Ray and family at Bountiful, Utah and with Martha. Mrs. May Woodland was busy and happy this past weekend, having her sons, grandsons and friends home for the pheasant hunting. She served dinner to 14 on Saturday and seven on Sunday. Reports were of a fair hunt. Lynn Stauffer visited his parents, the Glenn Stauffers, this past weekend and enjoyed some pheasant hunting. Mrs. Jens Simonsen recently gave two family parties in honor of Jens birthday. First one was held on Sunday for all their children, then on Tuesday all his brothers and sister came to help Jens celebrate. Rodney Nelson from Ogden visited over the weekend &t his grandparents Ira and Iva Archibald. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rauchelle, from Brisbane, Australia, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blacker and at the home of the Gary Blackers, North Ogden. Gary stayed with the Rauchelles while serving on his mission. Visitors at the Doug Oylers over the weekend were Dennis and Jan Oyler, from Bountiful, Utah and Bruce Oyler from North Ogden. Guest of Honor Ivy Graser was guest of honor at a birthday dinner hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Byron Anderson at their home in Garland. Tom says he is glad to be home as he did not enjoy it much up there, but he found interesting things such as their pottery made from Lava rock. A volcano erupted about a year ago and since then the people make pottery from the lava rock and sell to tourists. Woolen Goods Another interesting thing to the woolen goods made from the wool of the Icelandic sheep. These sheep roam free over the hills. When the people make the different items from the wool they do not dye with colors as usually is done in other areas. Instead they use the natural colors of black, brown, orange, etc. Did you see the play Tom Sawyer put on by the high school.
