Enroute home she had an interesting fourteen hour stopover in Hawaii. Her husband Boyd is stationed in Guam, and they have been living there about a year. The Willard Lion's Club held their annual summer party at the bowery on the Willard Town Square Wednesday night. A delicious barbeque dinner with all the trimmings was served to club members and their wives which included Tom and Joan Christensen, Eldon and Madge Watts, Ira and Iva Archibald, Robert and Phyllis Morgan, Lewis and Ruth Harding, Bart and Sheila Hoppie, Jesse and Arlene Holden, Gordon and Margo Hicks, Boyd and Beverly Irvil and Doris Nelson, by Madge H. Watte The Willard Bay chapter of the Young Homemakers are holding their annual summer party Thursday (today) at Reese Pioneer Park in the bowery. It will be a pot lunch dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. Each member is invited to come with their families and are reminded to bring utensils. The Willard second ward Primary was reorganized Sunday with Arlene Holden becoming the new president and her counselors are Karen Holmes and Jan Nielson. Mrs. Earl Graser and Mrs. Don Barker and daughter Ivy Marie visited in Rupert, Idaho for a day with Max and Jean Facer and their family. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Karlinsey for a week were Brad, Randy, Mindy and Tammy Maxfield, children of Richard and Charlotte Maxfield of Salt Lake City. Richard and Charlotte came for the weekend and attended services in the new chapel on Sunday. Mrs. Carl (Joan) Mack and children from Yucaipa has been visiting with her parents Mrs. Davis Braegger for the past' three weeks and plans to leave this week for home. While here she has also visited with her sister and brother-in-laRalph and Jane Binns in Logan and brother-in-lawith sister and Lloyd and Rita Mason in Willard. She also arrived just prior to LaDawn Pixton leaving for Guam on the sixth of August. LaDawn had been visiting with Younger, Dale and Karen Jens and Irene Holmes, Simonsen, Lynn and Anna Marie Keyes, Chester and Grace Keyes, Virgil and Nancy Hunsaker, Carmeron and Janae Buck, LeRoy and Donna Ball, Brent and Ronella Campbell and Wayne Priebe. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Watts on Thursday were Mike and Leona Allred and four daughters from Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mason and son Lane went to Heber City on Thursday to take the train ride on the Heber Creeper. Visitors in Willard this week have been Mr. and Mrs. William Kunzler from Burley, Idaho. They visited with the Glen Kunzlers and attended the auction sale at the old ward chapel Thursday night. John York BC church slates speaker The Brigham City assembly of God has announced that John York, Assemblies of God representative to Nigeria, will be the guest speaker Friday Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Protestant Student Center, 435 East Seventh South. . The church in Nigeria has grown rapidly, and Rev. Yorks task will involve the training of national leadership. The speaker's background has included ministry in the Bahma Islands, the Leeward Islands, American Samoa, and Hawaii. He was the pastor of the Rangely, Colo. Assembly of God and also taught in the public schools there. Most recently, Rev. York was the director of Assemblies of God youth activities for the Colorado-Uta- h district.
