This week the Party Line wires have been buzzing and I want to share some of the exciting things that have been on with you. going Take Cruise Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Hyer have returned from an exciting Port of Call' cruise athrough the Meditteranean. They flew Palma Mallorca and then board a cruise ship that took them through the Mediteranean. They stopped at Salerno, Sicily, Naples, Pompeii and Genoa. In Genoa they were most in teres ted in seeing the house where Columbus was born. They visited Cannes, France and Barcelona Spain. They saw Columbus ship, the toured the Columbus museum and saw a bull fight. Arriving back in Palma they stayed there a week before returning home. They toured that island, visiting a pearl factory, and leather factory. They flew to Madrid and spent a day visiting the palace, Prado art museum and campus of the University of Madrid. re-bu- Have Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Huggins, Bear River City, have enjoyed a and visit from their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Larry (Sheila) Dixon and daughter Camille of Milwauukee, Wise. He is in his third year of the predental school at Marquette University. They spent three weeks in Utah spending part of their time with his mother, Mrs. Dee Lythgoe at Roy and his dad, son-in-la- w 29 Elmer Dixon in Orem. While they were here they were entertained extensively by family and friends. On August 12 they were guest of honor at a family dinner hosted by her parents at the family home in Bear River City. Included in the were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dell Huggins and family, Farrell Huggins and Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Kristi) Williams, and family and Margie Huggins, all of Bear River City, Sheryle Spencer, Brigham City, Holly Huggins, Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. James Karo and Kandas of Ogden. The Dixons traveled here by Amtrak and left Monday morning for their home in Wisconsin. and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. A.C. Parker of Barstow, Calif, have also been visiting here. They were houseguests of her sisters Misses Leah and Orthel Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Kent L. Jensen motored to Salt Lake City last Wednesday night to attend the wedding of her nephew Paul Heslop, son of the J.M. Heslops. They were married in the Salt Lake Tempi e August IS and a wedding reception was held that night in the Seventeenth Ward north. Attending the bride were his sisters Mrs. Tom (Lyn) Osmond and Ann Heslop both of Salt Lake Coty and best man was his brother Scott Heslop also of Salt Lake City. The annual summer party for employees and their partners of the local Post Office was held Tuesday night in the bowery at Rees Park. A committee from the clerks and carriers with Tewayne Gingerich as chairman were in charge of arrangements. Special guests were retired former employees. The party honored Glen Nelson who retired June 22 after 30 years with the department. A lovely watch was presented Nelson from his fellow em Take Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Christensen and children Chad and Robyn have just returned from a delightful trip to Southern California. They were mainly in the Los Angeles area and visited Disneyland, Busch Gardens, Lion Safri, and traveled to San Diego and toured Sea World. They visited his brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Earl Christensen at Long Beach. They stopped The Spike club local area senior citizens organization, is presenting a special program on Monday, Aug. 27, at the Brigham City Community center from 2 to 4 p.m. Marvin Moon is producing an original production. Moon is a well known professional entertainer, who is employed at the post office, but who shares his talents with the community. He is a member of the Brigham City Community Theatre board and has been in 30 plays at Northwestern university, performing with Jennifer Jones during this time. Karl Josephson and Kathy Biggs will perform in the program. Both are well known locally for their musical and stage talents. Along with program, election ballots will be checked for new officers of the Spike club.
