Show Utah November 1972 30, Thursday, BOX ELDER JOURNAL, Brigham City, Traffic Accidents Keep Officers Busy Several peraone were Injured traffic accidents this past week in the Brigham City area. A Brigham City driver and his passenger from Ogden were hurt Monday night when their automobile stuck and killed a horse on U.S. 1 in Perry. Both were taken to Cooley Memorial hospital in a Brigham City ambulance. The Ogden girl was treated and released the same night and the boy was released from the hospital Tuesday. According to Utah Highway . in 89-9- Patrol Trooper Howard Dunlavy, the vehicle was southbound and struck one of three horses on the highway at about 800 North. Still Unknown The onwer of the horse was still not known Wednesday, according to Trooper Dunlavy. The carcass of the animal was still lying on the side of the highway late Tuesday night. The investigating officer said the young driver was pinned in the car for a short time and suffered apparent head injuries. The girl was treated for a head laceration. No citation was issued. Two Box Elder county girls were treated and released from the local hospital early Sunday morning after the car they were riding in, hit the Bear River bridge just east of Corinne. Trooper Tom Burridge said the driver and her passenger were injured when the westbound auto went out of control on the snow covered bridge. The accident happened at 12:30 a.m. He said damage to the car was $150. Both victims were taken to the hospital in a Brigham City ambulance. Two Cache valley persons narrowly escaped serious injury early Monday morning when the parked car they were in was stuck by a semi truck pulling a trailer. Trooper Burridge said the 1970 sedan was parked in the outside northbound lane in front of Sumidas Fruit stand by the driver Howard Speth, 40, Logan. A northbound PIE tractor, semi and trailer driven by Yukyei Tadehara, 45, Murray, smashed into the sedan and tore the rear end off the vehicle. ' The trailer was struck by a westbound car driven by Ann Chipman, 25, Pocatello, Idaho. Several minutes later the trailer was again hit by the motor home, driven by Mahlon L. Kidd, 50, Idaho Falls, Idaho. There were no injuries in the mishap however die collision pushed the front bumper into a tire on the motor home. Locke, 41, West Jordan went across the road and hit a guard rail after the driver became distracted.
