Mrs. LaOell Harris of Both-wei- l, president of the BR chapter conducted the meeting. Mrs. Sandy Stoddard Sandys Putter Palace of in Honeyville gave an interesting demonstration on exciting new Christmas decorations, gifts etc. Mrs. Tess Hess has been chosen as Bear River Chapter Young Homemaker of the Year and will now be eligible to compete with other chapter candidates for 'State Young Homemaker of the Year to be held at the state convention in Salt Lake City in February. Weekend Guests Mr. and Mrs. Reese Stephens and sons Daniel and Paul of Fort Worth, Tex. have arrived to spend two weeks visiting Mrs. Stephen's parents Dr. and Mrs. D.B. Green in Tremonton. Other weekend guests at the Green home were Mr. and Mm. Sid Garrett and daughters Paula and Jan of Salt Lake City. The men enjoyed hunting. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Giles in Tremonton Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Johnson and family of Ogden. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Giles were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Giles and family in Bountiful. Gary Christensen of Bothwell has been sustained as a counselor in the YMMIA. He replaces Dean Hone who was released. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and family of Fielding visited Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Robbins and family in Stone, Idaho Sunday. They enjoyed visiting Mrs. Grover's brother, Milton Robbins who is on furlough after serving with the marines in Colombia, S.A. for the past three years. An election for the Bothwell Town Water board will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the ward building. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bothwell in Christensen Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Noel Gibbs and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wagstaff and family of Perry. The men enjoyed hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Forsberg of Garland are enjoying a vacation in Charlotte, N.C. They are houseguests of their Mr. son and daughter-in-laand Mrs. Max Forsberg. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. V.D. The Hoskins own and operate one of the rare country stores in Bear River Valle'. The Tremonton Book-lor- e club met with Eva Green as hostess Wednesday afternoon. Isabel Walton gave a review of Richard Bachs book entitled Jonathan Livingston Seagull. A tasty dessert was served. Mrs. Pearl Hoopes of Benson Ward spent Wednesday and Thursday visiting her daughter, Mrs. Tess Hess and family in Fielding. Mrs. NaVelle Rhodes of East Garland left Friday by plane for San Diego to spend a week visiting her daughter Mrs. Diane Barlow and family. DUP Meeting The Stage Coach Camp of DUP met with Millie Welling as hostess in Fielding Thursday Helen Captain evening. the conducted Marriott meeting. Linda Clark favored with a vocal solo accompanied by Catherine Limb at the piano. Tables were attractively decorated in a Thanksgiving theme. Light refreshments were served. Attends Funeral Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Peterson in Thatcher during the past week was Mrs. Petersons sister Mrs. Edith Shaw of Los Angeles. Mrs. Shaw came especially to attend funeral services for her brother Oge B. Jensen held in the Thatcher-Penros- e Chapel Thursday. Other guests at the Peterson home were Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wright and children Randy and Robyn of Bountiful. Mrs. Sharon Boss of Saginaw, Mich, also came to attend funeral services for her father, Oge B. Jensen and spent several days with her mother Mrs. Alice Jensen in Thatcher. President and Mrs. DeVere Harris and daughter Lori of Portage accompanied by Cami Cobia of Logan spent Sunday in Ogden as dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Price. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris of Provo. They attended sacrament in Overnight guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Baer in Tremonton Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Mel Wood and Miss Angela Baird of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Harris and daughter Lori of Portage accompanied by the Harriss daughters Mrs. Vera Budge and Mrs. Glen Cobia of Logan spent Thursday in Rexburg at the home of the Harriss and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Craig Smith and family. The Smith family have just moved into a lovely new home. The accasion was also Mrs. Smiths birthday anniversary. Sunday evening Dr. and Mrs. Jones attended a family dinner party at Maddox Ranch House in Perry along with Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Pierson of Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Jones of East Garland, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Earl of Salt Lake City. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Blanchard in Tremonton Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Conn Haderlie, Brian and Elwin Haderlie of Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Haderlie of St. Charles, Idaho. At sacrament meeting in the Tremonton fourth ward Elder Brian Haderlie who has just returned from an LDS mission in Ohio was the guest speaker. Mr. and Mrs. Max Haderlie favored with a violin duet accompanied by Mrs. Wayne Blanchard at the piano. Mr. and Mrs. Max Haderlie, Mrs. Blanchard and Elwin Haderlie also played a violin quartet selection. They were accompanied by Alice Ward at the piano. Craig and Tina McMurdie Harrison of Logan announce the arrival of their first child, a boy born Nov. 9. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leo Farnsworth of Fielding and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McMurdie of Ogden. Mrs. Clifford McMurdie has been spending several days in Logan getting acquainted with her new grandson. This week she is spending a few days at the Samuel McMurdie home in ogden assisting Mrs. McMurdie who has just been released from the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after undergoing surgery. The Garland Camp of DUP met at the home of Maude Tarbet Thursday afternoon with Tressa Steed as Captain Mabel Munns conducted the meeting. Edna Hyer gave an informative lesson on Early Hotels. EAGLE Larry Proud Parents Gary and Roseann Jones of Brigham City are the proud parents of a baby boy born Monday Nov. 6 at Cooley Memorial hospital. He weighed eight pounds one and one half ounces. This is their first child and he will be named Steven Lee. The grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Brailsford of Bear River City and Mr. and Mrs. Alma Jones of Corinne. Funeral Services Funeral services were held our ward chapel Saturday in af- ternoon. The ward choir sang two songs, Mrs. John Holmgren played a piano solo, Bishop Holmgren gave a few remarks and Evelyn Foster and Melvin Johnsen were the speakers. Burial was in our local cemetery. The fatal accident on the sewer system last Monday when Milo Don Hadley was killed was Indeed shocking and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to his family and all concerned.
