The family requests that gifts be omitted. Born on Nov. 18, 1892, at Pendine, Cornwall, England, Roberts later immigrated to America and settled in South Dakota. He later homesteaded in Utah. In 1920 he returned to England and married Mary ' Kate Saundry Brenton at Newquay, England.
