This years varsity and lower classmen will parade their cage talents for families of the will unveil his 3 cheerleaders players, and B'Ettes who will serve refreshments after the game. Coach Cusick said the varsity will stage the Purple and White intrasquad game for two quarters after which the sophomores will play a quarter. A west squad made up primarily of eight grade players and an east team of freshmen will climax the evenings action by scrimmaging for one quarter each. The whole thing will start at 7 p.m. It will serve as a warmup for the Bees who have two practice games on tap next week. Theyll n slate Nov. open the 24 at Clearfield and the evening will host a strong Davis High five. following Other Practice Dates Box Elder has other practice dates with Viewmont (Dec. 2), Cyprus (Dec. 8) and Provo (Dec. 15) before heading into Region One action Dec. 22 with Logan. In his fourth year at the Hive helm, Coach Cusick is pleased by the progress of his varsity Pheasant Hunt thus far. Theyre running and shooting well for this stage of the campaign. The Bees will have to do both especially well this season since their lack the overpowering size boasted by some schools. The youthful mentor figures what his team lacks in physical dimension it makes up in speed, quickness and scoring power. Its for sure he cant count on a host of returning veterans. There isnt a letterman on the squad and only four seniors. Quickest Ever Cusick labels this as his quickest team evtr at Beeville and he's going to capitalize on it by stressing the early offense, moving down the floor and bombing the bucket with haste. "Itll be an exciting brand of basketball to watch," he predicted. Seniors on the club include Monte Munns Dan Rees and Bob Petersen (6-Phil Adams All are expected to see much action although Cusick says he wont be bound by a particular starting five. He figures his talent is deep this year and those doing the job each week will get the nod. A junior who logged considerable varsity time last year is Jimmy Kaminska (6-- 1 V4) and he, along with a corps of other juniors, is being counted on heavily this year. "If general practice is followed, these waters will open the following year," he said. ' The board also set the general fishing season from June 2 to protection for some indigenous species in the state which have become very low in population.
