Show - rj n- t Honoyvillo Hotline Buddisf Bazaar Plans Underway by Kitty Fletcher Goblins and ghouls have once again had there way (or the one night of the year that they are allowed out to roam. This years Halloween activities stayed at a (airly calm level. Other than the usual waxing of windows there was no mischief makers out in our area. Also most of the candies that came home with the children was commercially wrapped. Now we have one of my favorite holidays to look forward to Thanksgiving. Barker of 322 North Second West, is a member of the 12th Marines second battalion in training at Mt. Fuji, Japan. He is stationed at the U.S. Marine Corps base on Okinawa. Madge M. Watts The Willard LDS ward Relief society homemaking leader, Chambers announces that there will be a special demonstration on sewing with knits given by Ellen Gillespie from Ogden. This will be given on regular work and business day, Tuesday, Nov. 14. Regular homemaking lesson and parent training will also be given and a lunch will be served. Mrs. Lillian Chine from Cincinnati, Ohio is visiting in Utah with family. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Nish entertained family members at a dinner and visit with her. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. DeVar Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sorensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Tefoya from Willard, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nish from Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Cloelia Mrs. Alvin Smith from Ogden. Layne Mason eight year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mason was confirmed a member of the LDS church by his father in the Willard ward on Sunday. He was baptized at the Box Elder South Stake center Friday night. The Willard ward MIA held a Halloween party Tuesday night. Activities included a movie, games and refreshments. A birthday for Alana Parker daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Parker was held at the family home Wednesday night. Family members enjoyed banana splits and birthday cake to celebrate the event. Family Party Family members gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Simonsen to honor Jens on his birthday, with a dinner. Those present for the event were Russell Simonsen from Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Simonsen and fanv'y from Roy; Pat Mosher and family, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Tingey and family and Mr. and Mrs. Troy Burbank and family. A real good turnout of ward families and friends made the W'illard ward bazaar on Friday night a real success. Winners of the special drawing prizes were Ivy Graser, the quilt and pillow set, Donna Kunzler the magazine and book rack and Hollie Mund the pillow cases. The have been in the form of witches, ghosts, goblins, black cats and etc. Their main objective seems to be collecting treats of various kinds. The mutual Halloween party was held Tuesday. Lori Nicholas was set apart as the organist, teacher and first counselor in the Relief society, Sunday. Richard Nicholas accepted the position of teacher in the Sunday school. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Larsen call Mrs. Larsens (Shirley) parents Saturday. They reported everything was going fine but they were a little homesick. Attends Classes Wanda Larsen attended a physical education class in Salt Lake City, Friday. She was very enthusiastic about the program.
