Presentation of the evenings book review was by Velda Palmer, who gave an interesting selection on highlights from the book Soul Sister by Grace Halsell. A journalist on the White House staff, Mrs. Halsell used chemicals to give herself the appearance of a black woman and them traveled through the American south and Harlem district of New York City. Following the book review, refreshments were served by the hostess to those present. (Send its your "Supermother idea and share an authors ay Now DUP News Perry Man Honored On 79th Birthday Nathan Andrew Wheeler of Perry was honored Thursday, Nov. 2 on his 79th birthday with a family dinner at the Perry LDS ward cultural hall. A lovely program was presented by members of the family, with family home movies being shown. In attendance were five of his children; Nathan and Melba Wheeler of Perry; John and Beverly Wheeler, Dick and June Wheeler all of Logan; Jess and Nola Reay of Corinne and George and Peggy Neal of Stone, Idaho and lots of grandand children greatgrandchildren. His brother Emery Wheeler of Brigham also attended, about 50 attended. Mr. Wheeler was born Nov. 2, 1893 in Fielding later moving to Stone, Idaho. He fulfilled an LDS mission to the Northwester states from 1913 to 1915. On March 28, 1917 he married Sarah Allen in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They lived in Stone, Idaho where all eight of their children were born. Six of them are still living. Perry In 1939 they moved to Perry where they operated a fruit farm. He was a cook for eight years at Intermountain school. Since retiring he has enjoyed hunting and fishing and working in his yard. He has six living children, 26 grandchildren and 20 great Camp Jupiter . grandchildren.
