Susan Grimmett won fourth place in the pleasure horse class and her sister Sylvia took in second and fitting showmanship at Wheat and Beet days in Garland recently. Susan and Sylvia are granddaughters of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Paskett. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bywater and family of Glendora, Calif, have been visiting the past ten days at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bywater. Several family parties have been held. Friday night all family members went to Willard Bay for boating, water skiing and a picnic lunch. Several people from here attended the Old Folks party Saturday at the Stake center. A delicious dinner and a good program was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Burt and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner were in Soda Springs, Idaho Saturday to watch the Brigham City ball team play ball in the Soda Springs Invitational Pony League. Jeff Gardner and Michael Burt play on the ball team. The boys spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Idaho City. Alvern Several changes were made our ward in Sacrament ; meeting Sunday night. , . Mrs. Lucille Roache from Brigham City accompanied her sister Mrs. Helen Hansen to Idaho Falls last week to attend the temple marriage of their niece Susan Thorstad. Miss Thorstad is from Ontario, Ore. The day began with an outstanding rodeo and horse races were afternoon entertainment and in the evening a dance with the A1 DeVries orchestra. In my opinion the day was most enjoyable.
