Trials are scheduled Aug 21 at 10 a m. on the Tremonton track. There will be two heats to trim the current field of 12 to eight entries. The finals are scheduled Aug. 28 in conjunction with other fair company, Tom Davis, 13 futurity said he was thrilled at the number of entries in this first year of the race. FUTURITY ENTRY Yagi Hurls No-Hitt- er t '' - Anglers Get Fair Results Idaho Falls Edges 1C for Pony Crown Idaho Falls ended Brigham City's domination of the annual Soda Springs (Idaho) Pony League Invitational Baseball tournament this past weekend. The Gem state club edged their northern Utah foes, in the championship game Sunday. It was the first loss in three years of participation in the tournament for Brigham City, managed by Art Hindberg, who already had two title trophies on display at home. The local lads got into the finale by downing Pocatello in and Fridays opener, 3-- 4-- blasting Rexburg, 10-- on Saturday. The two outings featured some fine hurling by the Brigham City staff, including a by Randy Yagi who came within one walk of pitching a perfect game. But that was the extent of their scoring as Idaho Falls came back with a single tally in the fourth on a single and a walk, adding two more in the fifth on a free pass, a single and a fielders choice. Brigham City was limited to two hits by starting pitcher Randy Bowman and reliever Dale Baldwin who struck out nine of the 12 men he faced Ellis started for B lgham City and was relr' Leyva who, in turn, gave . .. to Ricky Yagi who whiffed five of the six men he faced.
