The testimonial held for Ronald Munns, who recently returned from a two-yemission in Central California, was very well attended with people coming from far and near. The following program was presented: talks by Ruth and Reed Munns, parents of Elder Munns; a piano solo by Marilyn Munns,- - and the remainder of the time was taken by Ronald telling of his missionary experiences. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hansen of Santa Clara, Calif, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Christensen. Friends Meet group of old friends met at the home of Lyman and Eula on Kimber for a Sunday evening. M and Mrs. Myron Kimber of Grantsville, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hadfield, Mr. and Mrs. LeMoyle (Amy Hadfield) Peterson of Logan enjoyed the evening together. Mrs. Bertha Kimber and a friend, Mrs. Ethel Soelberg of Salt Lake were holiday guests of Lyman and Eula Kimber. A The Tresa former Ballingham, her husband and family visited relatives and friends here on Sunday. This was her first visit here in 25 years. Holiday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kimber were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kimber of Mon-tellMr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Kimber of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hadfield and children, Chris and Judy, Amy and LeMoyle Peterson and daughters, DeAnn, Debra and Tanya of Logan also called on the Kimbers. Saturday evening overnight guests of Lyman and Eula Kimber were Opal and Oren Kimber, Judy Kimber and son, Terry Jr., of Brigham City. Other guests of Randy and Brenda Kimber, besides the Oren Kimbers and Judy Kimber and son were Karla and Reed Beecher of Salt Lake. Delroy and Mae Kimber were here from Brigham over the weekend. They had some unfortunate car trouble and Mrs. Kathryn Nabors came out to get them. Kathryns children, Desi and Tony were also here with them. Holiday Visitors Holiday visitors of Mrs. Louie Roberts were Ray Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Roberts and family of Montello; Mr. and Mrs. Miles Tracy and son, Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Tracy and baby from Declo; e Mr. and Mrs. Wallace of Montello, and Byron Roberts of Sparks, Nev. Byron is planning to stay for a few days with his mother. Mervin Tanner and Claine Tanner came out Saturday from Brigham and took Claines grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Valison Tanner and E.O. Kimber back to attend his , homecoming missionary testimial on Sunday. Both grandparents reported a very interesting and inspirational meeting. E.O. KimDer was an overnight guest of Mrs. Chloe Tanner in Brigham. A delicious turkey dinner was served to a large group of family members and relatives at the home of Ray and Wilda Kimber during the holiday Mrs. weekend. Darlene Johnston and children, Dana, Patricia and Keith of Ogden, Judy and Bob Barnedt and son, Dean of Salt Lake who flew out, and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Kimber of Park Valley were overnight guests. The Bill Area Man Receives Award Jeffrey P. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton M. Johnson of 415 East First South, was recently decorated with the American Legion Silver medal upon being named as an outstanding U.S. Air Force Reserve Officers Training corps cadet at Utah State university. He received the award for qualities outstanding his in military leadership. Cadet Johnson is a member of Phi Eta Sigma and is working towards a BA degree in German. He is a 1965 graduate of Box Elder High school. Shaws and Jim Kimbers joined them for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kimber of Sunset and Wayne Kimber and two daughters of Roy visited at the Jack Kimber home on Monday. Few Fishermen Due to the rainy weather there werent nearly as many fishermen here this year, about as many as last year - however it was also quite discouraging that the fish werent biting so good at the one-fourt- h Etna reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Kimber had two of their daughters and families home for the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. A1 Coveio and daughters, Annette and Alene, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Smith, Allen, Karma, Becky and Tracy and Susan Wirick of Ogden. Graduates Honored social was held on Tuesday evening honoring Eldon Kimber and Robert Bailey who have finished school here and will be leaving in the fall. A program was presented under the direction of the PTA after which refreshments were served. A movie, Zebra In The Kitchen, was then shown. Memorial Day Visitors There was a large crowd of family member at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tanner during the Memorial day holiday weekend. They were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tanner and four children of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Clark and five children of Brigham, Mrs. Merle White and five children of Provo, Darrell Tanner and son, Darren, and Allen Tanner of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrey and two children of Idaho Falls. Mrs. Fern Montgomery, Mrs. Pat Hirschi, Mrs. Donna Scoffied and their children of Tremonton, Mrs. Cathy Montgomery and children of Brigham were Monday visitors of Melissa Tanner and Kathleen Tanner and children. Douglas and Kathleen Tanner attended a muddy rodeo in Wells on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sandall of Park Valley were Sunday visitors of the Bryan Blanthorns awards were Surprise Principal of the Bear River Elementary school had a surprise party for Deverne Rasmussen, who is leaving the school to become prinipal of the Bunderson school in Brigham City. A lovely gift was presented to him. It was another surprise for him Tuesday afternoon when the students of the sixth grade honored him. Refreshments were served and a gift presented to him. Mrs. Maxine Adamson entertained in honor of her daughter, Jodis, sixth birthday anniversary Friday afternoon at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clayson. Games were played and dainty refreshments served to her little friends. Jodi received many gifts and in return each guest was presented a gift. School Tour Cad school students and teachers, Lyman and Eula The Kimber were bussed by Archie Toyn on their annual field trip this weekend. They drove to Ogden on Thursday and stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn and had dinner at the On Friday they toured the Amcor plant and the Ogden fire station. Some of the students enjoyed a drive through Ogden canyon, some went bowling and the highlight of the trip for most of the students was being able to swim as long as they wanted. Melissa also took her to Brigham and Tremonton to visit their brothers, Earl and Vernal Montgomery and their families and in Yost with the Yale Montgomerys. Gordon and Joan Tanner and family stayed with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Tanner. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shaw of Brigham were Sunday and Monday guests of Jim and Mary Kimber here. Diane and Roland Smith, 358 Crestview, were recently given the "Merit Award" after attaining the rank of Shaklee supervisor. The announcement was made in a letter by the companys board of directors.
