Elder Knudsen labored in the towns of Slagelse, Horsens, Aarhus, Holstebro, Hellerup, Kastrup and Toastrup, While in Denmark, he was able to spend two Christmases with his paternal grandparents and a in the town of Odense. After finishing his mission he traveled to Holland and Belguim with his mother and brother, who were visiting relatives in Holland and Denmark at that time. He was able to visit his maternal grandparents and his mothers only sister and her husband while in Holland. He returned home with his mother and brother on Dec. 20.
