Fred Bradford returned by bus from Moses Lake, Wash., after spending six weeks with relatives there. He left the last part of November with a Lynn daughter and and Fern Whitaker, who had been visiting here with him. He spent Thanksgiving with the Whitakers and members of ' their family. Visits to their homes and with friends kept Bradford occupied during the time he visited in Washington. He was happy to see the his to addition greatgrandchildren, who is four months old. The little miss, named Sharon by her proud parents is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Whitaker of Moses Lake, Wash. Sharing honors are Mr. and Mrs. Erci Whitaker of Bear River City. Visits to the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Whitaker and their two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wright in Moses Lake, and the Whitakers daughter Linda who is married and lives with her husband and son in Bremerton, Wash., helped Fred spend a most delightful time there. Sunday, Jan. 3, were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Carter and family and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Norman and family. The afternoon, following dinner was spent showing slides the Carters took on their recent trip to Mexico, Ucatan and Texas. The group spent a delightful afternoon in the discussion of places visited. Bill and Jean Kirk returned k last week from a stay in California. They towed their camp trailer to spend a most enjoyable vacation visiting relatives and friends. They were accompanied by Jeans mother, Mrs. Stella Gardner of Deweyville. The family group traveled to New Hall to spend Thanksgiving with the Kirks Mrs. Beverly daughter, Fullerton and children, Jeanie and Craig. After spending several days there, Mrs. Gardner traveled to the Santa Barbara area to enjoy a delightful visit with relatives there. Homes visited included the following Mr. daughters and and Mrs. Gordon (Jerri) Rose, and Mr. Mrs. Kenneth (Laverne) Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Milton (Sally) Garter. The Kirks traveled to nearby cities to visit with relatives and friends during their stay in California. The traveled to Santa Barbara during the holidays, spending time with sisters of Bill's, and their families. The Kirks reported cold weather and snow in California, which is unusual, according to relatives there. They did not enjoy the beach due to the cold temperature of the water. Christine Biddle daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Biddle, was able to return to school on Monday after spending a day and a night in the Brigham City hospital. She received minor surgery for a hearing impairment. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Carter gathered at the home of their parents on Christmas night. A delicious turkey dinner and trimmings was enjoyed by 47 members of their immediate family. Gifts were exchanged and the Carters related their experiences and told of the fabulous places visited during vacation their recent trip to Mexico and Ucatan. Those who came on Christmas night to make complete the family group were, Rodney and Lola Jean Carter and four children of West Point; Royce and Betty Carter and four children, two of whom are married and were accompanied by their spouses; John and LaRee Carter and eight children all of Clearfield; Keith and Lynette Carter their six children and a foster Indian child of Kaysville; Maurice and Alaine Carter and their three children, and Royal and Elaine Norman and their six sons. two-wee- k Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Carter flew to Houston, Texas Dec. 8. They went there to attend the convention of the National Farm Bureau. They spent three days there before traveling to Mexico City by plane, where they visited the rums of in- terest, spending three days there. They traveled to Viller Mosa to enjoy exploring ruins, attending a bull fight and the Folk Lore Ballet during their stay in Mexico. They flew next to Icatan Peninsula and to Merida the capital. There they explored ruins being excavated and visited the pyramids, one they described as covering a 40 acre field. The Carters returned to the states by plane, ending a trip that was one of the most delightful ever taken by the Carters. The Carters vacation trip also included some of the points of interest in New Orleans, San Antonio, Tex., and Houston, where they visited the Alamo, Fort Houston and the Space Center. The Carters returned by plane to Denver, Colo., where they waited for the fog to lift over the Salt Lake airport. They were lucky to be on the first flight that arrived here before the airport was closed again.
