Show Adrian Dantleys Comeback Complete Utah Jazz forward and captain Adrian Dantleys 1983-8season would have to rank with the best of individual sports stories of this or any year. His career in peril last year of a wrist injury for which there was no known surgery repair when he entered the NBA in 1976 after completing his junior season at Notre Dame, Dantley returned with no apparent loss ef- minutes per treatment. With Dantley, it was two hours a day, six days a week. Therapy involved the whirlpool, active and passive be-cau- stretching and an isokinetic machine called the Cybex according to Jazz physician, therapist Moe Forsyth. Dr. meanwhile, thought that the hypermobile Dantley may have stabilized his right wrist and restrict his great joint movement. Layden who called Dantleys hands one of his fectiveness and performed at the level his Jazz teammates, coaches, fans and opponents expected. He was also named to crown. After all, the surgical solution was unknown at the time Dantley was named Rookie of the Year in 1977 at the end of the season in Buffalo. And Dr. Watsons procedure was not published in medical journals until July of 1980. 0 Dantley had no hesitation in having the surgery and had to be cautioned to hold off his wrist n felt that his comeback from serious wrist injury might not who centage, fifth in assists by all NBA forwards. Watson, main attributes with strength and a soft touch, a rare combination, knew his captain would do everything possible during rehabilitation. Complicating the rehabilitation was the fact that Dantley was beto ing asked in the work on guard moves and learn the off guard plays so that he and fellow small forward John Drew could be used on the floor at the same time. "We knew we had to have two of our three big scorers in the game at almost all times if we could, explained Layden. That meant that we had to find ways to play Drew and Dantley, Drew and Darrell Griffith and Dantley and Griffith together. Before farmers can receive support loans, deficiency payments and other program benefits, they are required to report crops and acreage planted, the uses to be made of these crops, and cropland acres to be devoted to the acreage conservation reserve. When farmers report to the county ASCS office, they can review aerial photographs of their farm and pinpoint the fields in which the crops are grown. This information is then recorded and serves as documentation for program compliance and crop acreage bases. In addition to history purposes, the reports are also necessary to prove crop yields. Jack said crop certification is most important to farmers who are participating in the 1984 programs because without an acreage report, farmers are not really participating. "They must give us an acreage report in order for us to determine the level at which they are eligible for program payments and other benefits. He said all crop acreages should be reported. These Include wheat, barley, corn, oats and alfalfa. In Tooele County, the final certification dates for program crops are June 15 for fall seeded grains and July 15 for spring seeded grains (corn). Jack said acreage reports need to be as accurate as possible.
