It will start at the Nephi Swimming Pool. Nephi 8th ward having function next Monday The Nephi 8th Ward is having a Family Home Evening and Dinner on Monday, June 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m. It will take place at the Ballpark, north bowery. He is a member of the Nephi 7th Ward. He is the son of Glenn and Peggy Greenhalgh. His grandmother is Dorothy Neilsen. MISSIONARY Sister Holly Hall has been called to serve an LDS mission to the Ohio Cleveland Mission. She is a member of the Nephi 5th Ward. Her parents are Alan and Karen Hall ofNephi, and Cari Lyn Hall of Salt Lake City. She will enter the MTC on June 25, 2003. Play it fire safe this summer Although most home fires occur during the winter time months, summertime-of barbecues, Fourth of July a events and picnics-bringits unique fire hazards. s Fireworks, outdoor gas and l grill cooking are responsible for 12,000 fires in this country each year. Follow these tips from the United States Fire Administration (USFA) to have hot summer fun without getting burned: Fire up the grill, not your surroundings Always supervise grills when in use and keep children and pets away. If grilling on decks or pasolid-fue- tios, leave ample space from structures. When using a charcoal grill, use only charcoal starter. Do not add more fuel once the fire has started. Build safe campfires When camping overnight, t use a tent. Build fires five to six feet away, down wind, from tents flame-retardan- and tables. Start fires with small twigs and paper. Fireworks: Dazzling but dangerous Make sure fireworks are legal in your area before using them. Use fireworks away from homes, flammable materials, dry grass and people. Keep a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher nearby. Dont wear loose clothing while using fireworks. If fireworks dont go off, dont stand over them to investigate; saturate with water and throw away. If you find fireworks, dont touch them; report them to the authorities. Draper Pack-En Lively entertainment was provided by the very talented Old Time Fiddlers, and descriptive, touching, and just plain funny cowboy poetry was recited by Todd Nail.
