Show T ' - f.- T ? - Wednesday, August 19, 1998 From page 1 street at the end ofa 58 foot street,, Ryan Aagard told the council that he and his neighbors had all been required to deed property to the town for the purpose of widening the street and felt that others should have to do the wide same." t Putting in an interior road would allow the building lots to have an east front putting the tEI irrigation ditch and UP&L power lines in the back of the lots instead ofin front, explained Mr. Mangelson. It would also allow for widening the street running west of the property. He indicated that he would put a chain link fence between the ditch and the lots. Mayor Robinson asked Mr. Mangelson to go back to the Planning and Zoning Committee and work it out. Council member Ralph Wilson will set up a meeting with the committee as soon as possible so the issue can be resolved. Council member Ralph Wil t Nephi, Utah tEimee-jNefa- s son reported on the progress of the building at the park. He explained that the walls and floor are complete and the next step will be the water lines and roof. d Council member Craig told the council that he is still working on the grant for completing the Source Protection Plan. He explained that the state had lost the paper work on the three springs. They realize they are at fault and are working on it. The well has been approved d but the springs have not. indicated that the grant will be approximately $2700. Mayor; Robinson explained that the fire department would like to keep the old truck to use as a tender truck. He explained that it would be a benefit to have Wor-woo- Wor-woo- when the fire department is called to fires outside of town. Council member Alden Shurtz voiced his concerns about the dry grass in lots around town. He told the council of a lightening strike in the Delta area that burned quickly. We have lots in this town that if a bolt of'lightening hit and there wasnt enough rain to put it out there could be some serious damage, he said. He suggested sending letters to owners who have potential fire hazards. It was also suggested that the streets need to be mowed and cleaned up. Mayor Robinson agreed to send letters if he can get a list of . names and addresses. Council members Shurtz and Wilson will take the assignment of making up a list of names and addresses. Council member Shurtz told the council that questions about the feasibility of having a Justice of the Peace have been presented to him. Mayor Robinson indicated that the town does not take in enough revenue in the courts to justify the fee that is paid into it. The council discussed options for court revenue.
