He passed away November 29, 1972. They raised four children. She was a graduate of Nephi High School. Sadie was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She was a bookkeeper for D.T.R. Furniture Co., a nurse for Dr. Leo Carl Warenski, a sales clerk for Chapman Furniture Co., a correspondent for the Provo Herald, a member of the Ladies Literary Club, and active in the DUP. She was one of 40 nominees for the Governors 1994 Quiet Pioneers Award. She was of the book They Left A Record.
