Manti Temple will be scene Cancer Society will hold cancer on April 8th of wedding for Laura Kenison drive starting its Its and Jason Mitchell Laura Kenison and Jason Lee Mitchell will be married Friday, April 5, 1996, in the Manti LDS Temple. Laura is the daughter of Darrel and Karen Kenison of Levan. Jason is the son of Michael and Martha Mitchell of Othel- gets underway. Beginning April 8 and continuing throughout April, your neighbors will visit you on behalf of the American Cancer Society. These volunteers will give lifesaving information, for you to give some thought to, on how to reduce your risk for cancer, and they will ask for a contribution to help give others hope by supporting local programs of research, education and service to cancer patients and their families. Volunteers will be giving their time to help and ask you to consider doing the same. lo, Washington. Laura graduated from Juab High School as the English Sterling Scholar. She was accompanist for the school musical and the high school chorus. She was also the Seminary Council President her senior year. She is presently attending UVSC and working at the Hale Center Theater. Jason graduated from Othello High School as the senior class valedictorian. He was active in wrestling and track. He attended Ricks College and then served two years in the Burmingham, England Mission. He is presently attending Brigham Young University. The couple plan to live in Provo. All friends and family are invited to a reception in their honor on the evening of April 5th, 0 from p.m. at the Levan Ward Church. An open house will be held in Othello on May 4th. Currently, the American Cancer Society is supporting research in Utah at the University of Utah Medical Center, Brigham Young University, and Utah State University for a combined total of $1.6 million. This fact is indicative of the caliber of research going on in the state. The contest is open to all Utah youth in grades K-The coloring book was prepared as a tribute celebrating 100 years of wildlife management in Utah. The pages of the coloring book contain original wildlife artwork of Utah native Mark LeFevre. Each page also provides a map of where the animal occurs in Utah and text that will help the reader to become more familiar with the states wildlife. The winning entry in each 6. grade category ) will receive a $100 saving bond. Two honorable mentions in each category will each receive a $50 savings bond. The savings bonds will be presented at a Utah Youth for Wildlife Centennial Celebration that will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 1996, at the state capitol. The teachers of the winning and honorable mention entries will receive a $25 cash award and classroom educational supplies donated by participating sponsors. The Utah Wildlife Federation is currently distributing 10,000 copies of the Utah Wildlife Centennial Coloring book free to Utah teachers in grades K-These coloring books are being distributed along with the National Wildlife Federations Wildlife Week educational packets and contest guidelines. Additional copies of the coloring book are for sale throughout Utah at local retail outlets or by contacting the Utah Wildlife (K-6- 6. Federation. Proceeds from the sale of the coloring book will go toward conserving Utahs wildlife resources and supporting Utah Centennial Commission activities. Contest Rules and Guidelines 1. The contest is open to all Utah youth in grades K-2. Contest participants may submit only one entry. 3. An entry consists of a page from the coloring book or a photocopy of one of the 25 wildlife species contained in the book that was colored by the entrant. 4. Entries will be judged based on authenticity of colors of the animal, neatness, creativity, and 6. presentation. 5. On the back of submitted entries there must be the following information: entrants signature, mailing address and phone number, school district, and social security number. Note: cial security numbers are So- present to receive their awards. 7. All entries submitted become the property of the Utah Wildlife Federation. The Utah Wildlife Federation reserves the right to use submitted entries in its newsletter or for other pub- licity purposes. 8.
