Show Area residents nabbed on drug charges I . Angela Peterson, daughter of Cary and Ranae Peterson of Nephi, has been named first attendant to the queen of Kansas Citys American Royal horse show, livestock exposition, and rodeo. Miss Peterson was in Kansas City recently attending the national convention of the Future Farmers of America. She represented Utah as the state FFA sweetheart. The convention was scheduled to coincide with the livestock event. The queen of the event is selected from among FFA sweethearts from throughout the United States. Belinda Jo Weaver of Indiana was named queen, and Christy Harder of Minnesota was named her second attendant. Miss Peterson won a scholarship to the university of her' choice and many other gifts. The queen candidates went on a torn of Kansas City and attended many luncheons and dinners as well as national FFA meetings. Santa Claus will be in Saturday to visit with area youngsters, take their Christmas orders, and distribute candy. Pollard memorial scholarship for $320. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of personal integrity, quality academic achievement or potential, and a strong sense of performance commitment. Neilsen also won a university tuition waiver for one quarter. The class will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Juab Middle School and will be taught by Vance P. Gibson. Those without high school diplomas may take the class free of charge. All others will pay a $12 fee for the class. Those attending need have no previous computer background, but should be able to type. Each student will have his own machine.
