Visitors over the Mothers day week n end at the home of Mrs. Leonard were: Kenneth Belliston and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Taylor and three daughters of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Glade Van Nosdol and children of Santaquln. Bel-listo- Mrs. George W. Duckworth returned to her home recently after visiting In Concord, California with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Jack-maShe also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Steven Jackman, whose new baby is Mrs. Duckworths first great grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Pack (Ilene) and daughter Marline of Ogden accompanied her to California. Mrs. Duckworth also visited in Logan with her sister, Mrs. Lavem Harris for several days before returning home. Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Pack returned to Nephi with Mrs. Duckworth and spent a few days at her home. n. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vemell Chrstensen were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Christensen of Richfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Miller of Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen also visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Oldroyd. 4 i i i ! r I ? i Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cox and family of Bountiful were overnight visitors Friday and Saturday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. P. Cox. Week end guests at the home of Mrs. DaVeda Davis were her granddaughter, Jan Davis, and fiance Raymond Tobin, both students at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin K. Brough and five children of Salt Lake City were visitors on Saturday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brough. Mr. and Mrs. Don G. Yates, Mrs. Michel Strain and Mr. and Mrs. James R. Stanley attended the wedding reception on Friday honoring newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle White. The groom is the son of Lawrence and Marie Stanley White. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kay and Mrs. Margo K. Smith and son visited in Vernon Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Kay and family. Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Ray Newton were her sons, Carl Newton of Salt Lake City and Paul Newton of Kearns. Monday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gedge Oliver were her aunt, Mrs. David Frandsen and son Dennis of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Frandsens son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. David Frandsen and family, formerly of the Azores Islands, who are moving to Washington State; also a sister of Mrs. David Frandsen from Sweden. The ML Nebo Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their monthly meeting on May 13 at the City hall, with Mrs. Erma Keyte as hostess. She was assisted by her daughter, Carol Lange. Captain Ina Kay conducted the meeting and prayer was given by Myra Kay. Mildred Robbins gave the lesson on Pioneer Love Stories. Election of new officers was conducted by Ina Kay and Lillian Ostler. Refreshments were served to Ina Kay, Verde Ellertson, Myra Kay, Rhoda Newell, Elena Stanley, Mildred Robbins, Mabel Kay, Madge Newton, Kay, Joy Young, Erma Keyte, Carol Lange, and special guests from the County company: Geneva Worthington, Lavem Worthington, Lillian Ostler and Naomi Bailey. Brown of Salt Lake City, Emil and Bill Keck of Minnesota, brothers of Mrs. Brown. f i Bill Sorbe spent the past week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sorbe at Levan. He Is student-teachin- g at the music department at Cedar City High School. Bill is a double music major at Utah State University, majoring in band and in voice. Juab County Cattlemens Association is conducting a Range Improvement Tour and steak barbeque Saturday, May 22. According to Cary Peterson, president of the association, those wishing to go should meet at the Nephi City Park at 12:45 p.m., First stop will be at the Nebo Ranch (Andrews) north of Mona, Angus where the group will observe their breeding and pasture program. From there the group will go to native meadows and hear Karl Parker, USU Range Special-is- L tell how to improve the production capacity of meadow land. Several other stops will be made in the valley, then the group will go to Dog Valley to see range improvement and grazing management practices. After the tour there wil be a steak barbeque at the Nephi City Park beginning at 7 p.m. State Cattlemens Association officers will be there to speak briefly. All stockmen and others Interested in range improvement are invited to participate. Mothers day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jackman were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nulph and son Chad of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Jackman of Nephi. Mothers day week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Powell were Sidney Powell and sons Mark and Frank of Malad, Idaho. Other visitors on Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wallace and sons Todd and Troy of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Wallace is a niece of Mrs. Powell. Dinner guests on Mothers day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Powell were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Powell and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Sherry of Juab, Powell, son Richard and baby daughter Julia of Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davis of Kearns were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Winter last week. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Cazier visited last week in the Salt Lake City area with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cazier and family of Kearns, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Cazier and family of Granger, Mr. and Mrs. Don Swanson of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Sid Park of Taylorsville and with a grandson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cazier and daughter Joan of San Antonio, Texas.
