The assembly was started Wor-woo- d by the school song. Special scholarship awards from the Delphic Club, and the Greenhalgh award by The Gates Mr. Greenhalgh. award also was presented. Merit awards given for service, activity, honor roll, top students in the several departments were given. Athletic awards for footbal, track, basketball, wrestling, tennis and baseball were presented by the coaches. David Bird installed the new officers for 1970-7after which he gave his final remarks as student body president. 1969-7- 0 t .fKcrs1 ,k If n .X &- - Marjorie Painter Girl Selected Outstanding From the JHS CLARION Chosen as this years outstanding student is Marjorie Painter, this years Juab High School student body vice president. Marjorie was chosen to this honor in an election held April 30. I like to be around people and learn about them, states Marjorie, and this may explain her popularity. In both the tenth and twelfth grades, she received the art award for being outstanding in that field. She attended Girls State and was elected mayor. At Juab she has been J.V. cheerleader, ProVita historian, been in the ProVita three years, on the traveling assembly three years and the commercial team one year. She also was a member of the senior play cast. Her hobbies are art, playing the organ, tennis, basketball, swimming and diving. Marjorie is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Painter of Nephi. r s 5 o IlillES Senior Citizens News Marriage Planned Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Wilkey of Nephi announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Pamela Wilkey, to Ralph Brent Jack-mason of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jackman of Levan. The marriage is being planned for June 19 at the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Miss Wilkey is a graduate of Juab High School, the Juab Stake Seminary and from the College of Office Automation in Salt Lake City. Brent is a graduate of Juab High School and of Snow n, The Booby Baby Watchers H Club held their first meeting and selected officers, as follows Mary Winn, president and reporter; Annett Pexton, vice pres ident and recreation chairman Arlene Carter, secretary and treasurer; Nan Stephensen, song leader. We had fun and a very successful meeting. On May 20 53 members of the Senior Citizens enjoyed a dinner and program.
