Johnson of this area for the Mt States Telephone Co. was In our office Tuesday to bring us an article about the strike of Communications Workers of America being over, and those workers of Mt States Telephone who honored the picket lines having returned to work . . and the conversation quickly turned to the masculine" voices which had answered: operator" during the strike. Mr. Johnson said that most received of the "operators quite a bit of kidding during their sojourn at the switchboards, such as do you have on today? etc. your mini-ski- rt etc. If were going to kid with the operators, its just gotta be one of those cute" voices that were used to, not some of the voices which have been on the job in recent days. Fact is, from the limited times we met these voices during the strike, they seemed to have their hands pretty well full of switching buttons, without any kidding going on. Anyway, were glad that the voice with a smile is back on the Job, and that another strike is over! reg George Herbert said: One good mother is worth a hundred school masters. reg we As approach another day designated as Mothers Day, may we used a little printers Ink in giving a few thoughts about Mother Our appreciation of Mother depends to an extent upon our our current viewpoint age and toward the human race whether Mother is still with us or whether she has been called to another sphere of action!
