All City Business All things of merit which have been accomplished in the past four years now exist because of the foresight planning, action, supervision and VOTE of the THREE COUNCILMEN who have been represent-i- n you and working for your interests. REMEMBER, the Mayor does not vote!! City Records prove the above Republican Councilmen had high and consistent attendance to duty .and the responsibility of their offices. ALTHOUGH WE BELIEVE THEIR EFFORTS etaoin Although !we believe their efforts were not well directed (It is not a question of Good Faith, they were perhaps just misinformed) we thank the Democratic City Committee who wrote the advertisement for bringing to the attention of Nephi citizens the accomplishments of the REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED city administration. Some of the items they mentioned were conceived 20 YEARS AGO by REPUBLICAN administrators and worked on continuously to the present time. 1. 3 2 1 Again we REPUBLICAN MEMBEES DEMOCRATIC MEMBERS MAYOR (in City business, by law, the Mayor conducts but doesnt vote) stale: Let us examine the more important ones: WATER THESE MEN WILL COOPERATE AND WORK TOGETHER TO IMPROVE NEPHI CITY'S FACILITIES. SERVICES AND CIVIC ATMOSPHERE ments are the results of REPUBLICAN Councils and leadership. It costs as much as $20,000.00 to acquire title to the water from one well. There is a statutory time in which this can be done. It would be foolish and bad business to invest such large sums to lie idle when exchange gave extra water for city purposes at much cheaper costs. WATER is better than gold, and the rights, title to, and development of this precious emmodity have not been nelected and they never will be! PUBLIC RELATIONS They say Public Relations need improvement Are public relations bad???? If so, let the peope investigate the reasons!! TAXES From the advertisement : The Citys tax levy has not been increased. THIS IS A FACT : During the subject Four Year term Nephi City collected and spent upwards of $100,000.00 more in taxes paid by citizens and others than in any period. WE KNOW that some of this can previous be saved, and we have pledged ourselves to do it! 4-y- WELL DRILLING programs and water exchange agree WE PLEDGE BETTER MANAGEMENT, GREATER EFFICIENCY, A FULL APPRAISAL OF NEEDS FOR IMPROVE- MENT OF CITY SERVICES WITH PLANNED, ORDERLY DEVELOPMENT VOTE REPUBLICAN 3 MEN OF ACTION CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS BY FULL COOPERATION AND WORKING TOGETHER!
