The Bronco baseball team gave the championship game opponent, the Juan Diego Soaring Eagles, all they could handle in the winner-take-al- l final game of the tournament. Also entering were two V.P. officers from the baseball title. It was tremendous run for the Broncos, who beat all other competition in the tournament, but were unable to defeat the Soaring Eagle. Earlier in the tournament Juan Diego defeated San Juan and sent the Broncos down to the one loss bracket. San Juan won all the games and earned the right to face Juan Diego in the championship showdown. The Broncos beat Juan Diin the first contest, ego forcing the winner-take-achampionship game. Juan Diego was also the bane of the Bronco softball team, who finished in third Shirley Steffen was in tournament. The Lady Broncos had won six games in a row to advance contest.
