Show San Juan River trip for seniors Start planning relief for your spring fever now! Spring trips offer the best fresh air and wildflower river-raftin- g sightings. Canyonlands Field Institute is pleased to introduce new short format Elderhostel programs on the San Juan, Colo- rado, and Dolores Rivers. Elderhostel trips are geared toward active seniors 55 years or older and companions of any age. The first few programs will take place on the San Juan River originating in Bluff and ending in Mexican Hat. The first two trips in a series are scheduled for March 30 to April 2, 1999 and April 6 to 9, 1999. These three-datwo-nigriver trips will allow for time hikes and instruction y, ht in geology, riparian ecology, and public land management issues. The fee for these trips is $362. Scholarships for adults returning to college Empire Electric Association, Inc. has six adult scholarships available. We had some songs, some games and some reminiscing of Valentines Days in the past. Our Craft Day on the 19th fizzled out, but were for sure having one on March 19 at 2 pm. Ruby Rogers will be on hand to help with this. Our 4th Friday Social drew a better crowd than weve had for this occasion for a long time. There were 20 hearty and well satisfied diners.
