MAR:57.6J&!8IjMEGU 3 The Monticello Employer Council would like to help local businesses and their customers to communicate, and is pleased to offer a free service to assist businesses in discovering where they stand on customer service. The members of the Employer Council have developed surveys specific to the main industries in the Monticello area, and want to work with business owners to survey their customers. Businesses can pay thousands of dollars to have an outside company provide this But the type of service. Monticello Employer Council is offering it for free. This is because the Employer Council wants to work with businesses to make them more profitable, and thus improve the economics of the community. According to Virgil Caldwell of the San Juan County Small Business Development Center, A service of this type can be extremely valuable for business people, and I would recommend that business operations take advantage of this opportunity. The Employer Council wants to work with business owners to develop a survey method that is most effective least intrusive for their busi- ness. One business owner may prefer one manner of survey administration, while another will require a completely different method. The Employer Council will adapt the survey, the time of administration, and the method of administration to meet the business owners needs.
