Thank you. Dear Editor: I hope you will see fit to publish this letter as a thank you to the San Juan Centennial Ball Committee. The June 7 gala, held at Monticello High School, not only paid tribute to our heritage, it was a tribute to the talent and hard work of many people who, in my opinion, produced a memorable evening. Thank you, one and all. Joyce Martin Dear Editor: Every once in a while life has a way of reminding me how precious and fragile life truly is and how blessed I am to live in a community where people still lend a helping hand in times of need. Last Wednesday was just such a day. In the absence of our very competent leader, I, by default, inherited the overwhelming responsibility for the unfortunate accident on highway roll-ov- where. Every single patient was transported and professionalism, paying no attention to nationality or financial status. From everyone who was involved the love and compassion was there. THANK YOU for caring. To the choice three that were called home: watch over your families and friends left behind for you will truly be missed. To the Bluff EMTs: your skills and value to your community is unmeasurable. To the dedicated EMTs from Montezuma Creek, Blanding, Monument Val- ley, Tees No Pos, Shiprock and Monticello: my hat is off to you. People live today because you care enough to volunteer.
